Carpenter Ridge Cache was placed on top of Carpenter Ridge and over looks Paradox Valley. The Road up the Ridge is graded. A car could make the trip, however a high clearence 2 wheel drive vehicle would be perfered. During bad weather this road could become a 4X4 only road. The Distance that needs to be covered on this road is only 3.3 miles, but it is a shelf road and should be driven carefully. There are 4 legs to Carpenter Ridge Cache, the fourth one being the final location. At the starting coordinates you will find a blue racketball canister filled with rocks. Inside on the lid will be the coordinates for the second leg. There will also be some letters. When unscrambled these letters form a two word clue that will help you locate the final location. A red letter means that this letter should be part of the first word. A blue letter means that this letter is part of the second word.<p>In your log please let me know where you traveled from to reach this cache
07/07/2019 By raptormon We searched for a long time and gathered a lot of trash but never found any thing.
11/28/2014 By Sticky Buns In Paradox for Thanksgiving, sightseeing and some caching. VERY disappointed after making the WILD drive up the mountainside, only to search high & low and come up with a DNF!!! Although, I think finding the empty container SHOULD count for something!! I'll send you a GxProxy.com "Mighty Mega" that the critters can't destroy or chew through if you write me. We even tried reading every log and checking pictures as we drove across the ridge. We never spotted the rock loading ramp. I'LL BE BACK..... THIS ADVENTURE: TO BE CONTINUED!!! SEARCHING EVERYWHERE HIGH & LOW
Wasn't even sunbleached, no lid or papers anywhere. Tons of deer & squirrel tracks all around.
10/01/2011 By dan314159 TFTC. Make sure to pay attention to the notes for the first cache -- the container isn't the same as the original description! The coordinates are also getting pretty faded and hard to read.
10/01/2011 By Gne This was fun - thanks! We came along Q13 (U5) from Hwy 141. We came down the shelf road to this cache - then turned around and went back up to finish the multi - Then on to Buckeye. I've attached a picture of a structure that puzzled me - we found it on the way to the 4th stage. Not sure what it was for but it's an interesting ramp! Almost forgot to mention some rodent or other has tried to get into the cash - it now has a "tooth hole" in the lid - didn't have anything with me to repair it. Will probably get wet this winter.
06/06/2011 By ayersfam Did some maintanance on the cache as the first cache was ruined. Replaced the container. The other stops were good until the final. We replaced the final cache container. The clues are no longer needed for the final.
06/06/2011 By geojmonster It was fun - very intersting and clever
06/06/2011 By jrchazz pretty awesome experience! beautiful view.
06/06/2011 By ljohnsrud I loved it. Incredible views though it was very windy on this day.
Found it. Needs maintenance, we were able to find all 4, first one in very poor condition, the rest not much better. It appears we've been the first to find all 4 in maybe two years.

08/17/2009 By Antiape I found the first part of this not knowing it was a multi. I think it Needs maintenance since I wasn't sure whether this was the cache or trash. Beautiful spot for a cache or anything else for that matter.
08/16/2009 By Antiape Out riding around - I think this cache is long gone!
