Short multi along the Eagle Pass Trail in the Spruce Mtn. Open Space. Bison tube.

Something to get the mind engaged between other caches along the trail. Find the section marker at the posted coordinates and note the two section numbers and the two dates stamped on the marker. Then, do some arithmetic to find the final coordinates.

N39 09.NNN W104 53.WWW

NNN = 975 (listed coords) – sum of the digits of both section numbers.

WWW = 184 (listed coords) + (newer date – older date) + 5

This is a fun one. We found the first stage (which was very cool), did the math to get the final, but couldn’t locate that one. Our service was sketchy today in this area for some reason, so will head out another day to have another look and hopefully turn this one into a find!

Out for a fun day with Kerewin0430 - we saved Scooby and finished off the loop with a couple of caches on this trail. Thanks for the hide!

I had no intention of getting off my couch this weekend (FINALLY taking a down weekend for the first time since February), but was happy to be suckered into a hike with COpackrat. :-) As added bonuses, we finished a multi I'd been working on for a while and finally got to turn this DNF into a smiley! I was a little confused when the new puzzle yielded the same answer as my previous coordinates (happy mistake? intended result?) but decided to roll with it, and sure enough, there the container was! Thank you for replacing this one!

Update: I found my old notes. Of course the puzzle/answer was different! I had apparently re-solved it with the new equation and updated my waypoints, then forgotten about it!

I found the first marker and checked my arithmetic but did not find the cache. I will try again on another day.

Stopped by today and found that the cache was missing. I replaced it in a slightly different spot and adjusted the puzzle to point to the new location. Cache is still a bison tube about 4 feet from the ground.

Solved the puzzle and spent a good amount of time looking for the final. I could be blind...but I looked and looked for a long time! Checked the nearby options as well, which have undergone significant pruning lately, as well as the pile of pruning rubbish nearby. Thanks for the puzzle, at least...hope to sign the final some time!

The weather is amazing this week! Thank for the fun multi-cache! After work I headed over this way to enjoy a nice walk and enjoy the day. The trails are in great condition for this time of year! Found the first way point and juggled around some numbers and headed off to the next stage. A bit of searching and I was able to sign the log. Replaced as found. All is well here! thanks for another fun cache on the "mountain" and a free benchmark! Smile
