Our first cache of the morning. We began the day by driving up to the top of Cottonwood Pass, where we were greeted by a temperature of 26 degrees, 30 mph winds, and light snow falling. Welcome to summer! On our descent off the pass, we stopped at the Avalanche Trailhead and hiked this section of the Colorado Trail. At first, we wondered why that name for a trailhead, then it became obvious as we crossed the debris field of two different nearby avalanches.
As we approached the cache, I was reading past logs and realized this one had not been found since 2017. (The found log entry from 4/27/18 appears to be a mistake given the DNF log by the same person.) Arrived at ground zero and saw evidence that this area seems to get a fair number of visitors. Looked around the area and lo and behold, there was the cache, still tucked away. All is well. Many thanks.

At a retreat center a mile before this cache. Drove out to pick a few caches off. T4T$ cache is in good condition.
