An easy park and grab in a 35mm Film Container!!
Beginning with Cache #34, the hides on the “Russellville Run” carry on on rural roads with lower traffic volume than you may have found on Russellville Road. Please continue to use caution.

The town of Russellville rose near this route in late 1858, after William Green Russell discovered a few gleaming specks in his pan at Russellville Gulch. His find brought a horde of prospectors - an advance wave of the Pikes Peak gold rush. With busy placer diggings and clusters of tents, Russellville brimmed over with promise; but its nuggets, although pure, were too scarce to make fortunes. In the spring of 1859 the real gold rush began in the Central Rockies, about seventy-five miles northwest of here, and Russellville's boom abruptly busted. Though nearly deserted, the settlement survived for a time as a passenger way station, but by 1880 had become a ghost town.

Unlike the early prospectors who came looking for gold, those who come here looking for cache are likely to find good fortune. Starting at the intersection of Colorado Highway 83 and Russellville Road, the “Russellville Run Power Trail” consists initially of 74 geocaches – most are 35mm Film Canisters and most should be easy finds! ENJOY!!

Out working on the 360º Challenge with lasouthpaw. We had cached near here recently and remembered the coordinates and hints being accurate and we found this to be true today - thanks for that! TFTC!

Peace love pi and I headed out this morning to grab some rays for the 360 degree challenge. This is where the real fun began, as we hit selected caches on two power trails around Castle Rock. The snow is melting just enough to make the road muddy in spots. We were lucky that it wasn't too bad, but my car will get a bath tomorrow! Both of us are recovering from being sick and there was a lot of snow on the ground, so I am really shocked we found as much as we did. We only found a couple entombed in ice and I managed to confuse some llamas for elk, and of course we had a great time! Sorry for the cut and paste logs, but we found a lot in a short amount of time and I didn't take notes. Signed logs as pi paw or paw pi, I can't remember. Thank you for the good coordinates, good hints, and the smiley! This trail is on my list to come back and finish. Find #3176.

Geotrail to try and finish the mission that ends this weekend. We headed out after work and found a lot before it started getting dark then had a spotlight to find the rest. We think we found enough will know soon. Ended up not looking for a couple and DNF a couple we couldn't find because the coords were way off. Fun little power trail
