An easy park and grab in a 35mm Film Container!!
Beginning with Cache #34, the hides on the “Russellville Run” carry on on rural roads with lower traffic volume than you may have found on Russellville Road. Please continue to use caution.

The town of Russellville rose near this route in late 1858, after William Green Russell discovered a few gleaming specks in his pan at Russellville Gulch. His find brought a horde of prospectors - an advance wave of the Pikes Peak gold rush. With busy placer diggings and clusters of tents, Russellville brimmed over with promise; but its nuggets, although pure, were too scarce to make fortunes. In the spring of 1859 the real gold rush began in the Central Rockies, about seventy-five miles northwest of here, and Russellville's boom abruptly busted. Though nearly deserted, the settlement survived for a time as a passenger way station, but by 1880 had become a ghost town.

Unlike the early prospectors who came looking for gold, those who come here looking for cache are likely to find good fortune. Starting at the intersection of Colorado Highway 83 and Russellville Road, the “Russellville Run Power Trail” consists initially of 74 geocaches – most are 35mm Film Canisters and most should be easy finds! ENJOY!!

Replaced log and container. As I switched out my sandals for my hiking boots, I wondered about the people who live out here now and those in the past. The cold summer breeze today probably means a storm is brewing, so I better cache now and wonder later...
Cache on??

Our first powertrail in the US ! In dry weather we made this one today.. A long tour by car in a nice area with interesting sightseeing-views. Over normal and sandy roads, with today over 100 stops, with very easy but some quite difficult caches too , with very good logstripes but many wet or dirty and some very full stripes, too, a tour that took us 6 very pretty hours in nature.
Our respect for the owner(s) grew with the distance and number of caches. Thanks for this tour and your work !
For the owner(s) we give some important information in some logs.

Its been a long hot summer in Texas, I've been trying to get out and do a caching trip a couple of times this summer, but it never worked out. Finally managed to get a week off, and am so happy to be out here in Colorado. The weather if perfect, and there is a load of caches that need my name on Smile Thanks so much for the hide 2SKPs, I really enjoyed finiding this cache!

My friend told me about this string of logs, so as a relative ‘newbie’ I thought I’d give it a try. Thanks for setting up this massive path, and thanks to GeoDog7 for guiding me! TFTJourney

Cute small container.
Out for numbers today! Trying to get past the 50 mark for Hidden Creatures that ends tonight. Can’t make it to the turtle level but still a fun power run with 74 GiggleBox. Abbreviated our names on the log. GD7 and 74GB or 74 GBox. Thanks for this series!

I cached with LilRyRy and CDRSheppo on our way to a birthday party in Denver to finish the Hidden Creatures event. This area has a lot less litter than farther east, but I still picked up two bags worth of trash from the side of the road. I saw the lid laying on the ground and thought the container was missing, but I quickly spotted it. Thanks for the cache!
