Two stage cache that will lead you to a nice view.
Access to this area requires each person between the ages of 18 and 65 to purchase and have with them a habitat stamp or a valid hunting or fishing license. The $10 habitat stamp will allow access to all State Wildlife Areas and State Trust Lands, and is good for the entire year. Click Here for more info and to purchase a stamp . This cache was placed before the requirement for the habitat stamp, and if it recieves no visiters, I'll go and remove it.

You can follow trails to within 30 paces of the first stage, a clue piece that will provide the coordinates of the real cache.

Be cautious during hunting season, and wear blaze orange or other bright colors. Also this is bear country, so take appropriate precautions (bells, sing, etc.)

Total round trip, depending on your route, is around 1.6 miles.

We included a First Finders Certificate that all of Team Fegel signed. Whoever is FTF, please let us know if this is a cool addition, so we know whether to include a similar thing in future caches.

I know the rocks really throw off reception at the cache. Feel free to email me with corrected coordinates (not in log please).

 Hints

Svefg Fgntr: I didn't intend for this stage to be hard, so as far as hints go, I'll have to leave you hanging.

Pnpur: A lazy tree is pointing to the hiding crevice.

You can count on my note for knowing that the first stage problem was corrected. And icezebra11 found that the final was in good shape. So there actually is no need for a maintenance visit. It's a wonderful multi, and it's great that it continues...thanks for it!

I have not actually visited this to do a maint. But removing maint tag or the powers that be will delete this cache to make room for other people who want to put caches in this area.

Thanks Denali for your maintanance visit several years ago, I definately plan on getting up there soon.

I planned today to make the hike in to my cache Upper Cherokee and check on its status, after I was advised that it might be missing. I decided to also hike up to the first stage of Cherokee Park Overview to see if the stage code item was indeed missing. After searching the specific location where it had been hidden several years ago I came up empty, and put a replacement code item where the original had been. As I was putting my pack on, I decided to sweep the conifer needles off the ground with my boot as a final check. On the first boot sweep the code item appeared! I took down the replacement and positioned the original code piece where it had been in the past.

This is such a precious cache that it deserves tender loving care to keep it going for future cachers to enjoy! I had the pleasure of making today's hikes with icezebra11.

Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow!!! Oh, did I say wow? This cache log hadn't been signed in 4 1/2 years!!!! I went caching up Cherokee Park Rd and thought I'd stop in and give this one a try. I didn't have a lot of confidence since it hadn't been found in so long but there was only one DNF posted since the last find so I figured it was worth a shot. I set out on the trail to get to the first stage but after about 15 minutes, I had to do a little backtracking to find the right trail. Once I made the correct turn I arrived at Stage 1 in short order. After looking pretty hard for Stage 1 I headed for the final. Once at the location it took some time to come up with the container but boy was I happy when I saw it peeking at me from behind a rock. It definitely deserved the happy dance.

Thanks Team Fegel!!! This cache took a significant amount of searching, persistence, spatial imagination, and geo-sense! I would have dropped a couple bugs I've been carrying around but who knows how long it will be until the next find.

I've attached some photos confirming the find.

p.s., did I mention I couldn't find Stage 1?

a little disappointed.. I was hoping to make a first-find-in-five-years on this cache, but either the first stage is way harder to find than indicated, or it's not there anymore.

I made the hike up and circled GZ with a widening radius for about half an hour before I gave up.

If CO indicates this cache is still intact, ill make another effort.

Thanks anyway though... Nice climb.

Found this cache while taking our first hike with our new puppy Cache (short for Cache La Poudre). Thanks for the fun multi.

I was in the Turkey Roost area with my puppy Teewinot, reclimbing a remote Ranked Peak. We finished the long hike in time to make the fairly short drive to Trails End, and locate the clue and the final. A very, very nice multi with a great finish location in terms of the view! Wow!! Thanks for keeping this cache active. The Habitat Stamp fee is modest, and ought not keep geocachers from exploring this wonderful area and searching for this superb cache. Took nothing and left nothing, but signed the log.

This one has been on the 'to do' list for awhile. Finally got the stamp/card & today was the day! We went cross country to the 1st way point but recommend staying on the path...Approveeven if the GPSr says you are going away from the 1st stop. Clever 1st waypoint, though it has become a bit tight.

The wildflowers were in their glory so despite the heat, it was a lovely hike. These are our favorite type of caches so left a small smiley to say thanks. We also left a few small kids toys.

We took about 1.5 hours to do this one but we also took our time to enjoy the view. We highly recommend this cache! The few $$ to help maintain wildlife habitat is $$ well spent.

Husband and I found this on Memorial day-no one has been there for a year. Cache is in good order. Beautiful views. Enjoyed alot. I didn't mind having to buy the stamp, I've been to places you have to pay for parking --just part of the game. LNTN TFTC

We decided to keep these caches up, despite the fee. Please let us know your opinions about this fee.
