Cache is located over looking the Colorado River, Palisade and Clifton. It is located between the Garfield #3 Summit cache and the Gearhart Mine cache. The usual route is to decend the same trail from the Summit over to the Mine, but I rather take the path less traveled and follow the path of the clouds. The cache is a small plastic bottle with limited room for small items. It located in an old fire scared Pinyon tree. It was most likely the victim of a late afternoon summer thunderstorm. Kind-a makes you want to think about the weather prior to making the trip up, doesn't it???
For the trek up, bring water, wear loose fitting clothes, good footwear and take frequent photo breaks. And be VERY carefull around the cliff rims. One small step could save you an other wise long walk, but you may not survive the short-cut!
