A new series of hides devoted to our families favorite movie, "Dumb and Dumber"!  First up is the lovable Petey Bird, who was sold to Billy the blind kid in 4C.  Start off on the Rattlesnake gulch trail, after a gentle climb you will leave the trail down the spine of a hill and begin your search.  There are plenty of cactus and yucca to poke you, and be wary of Rattlesnakes as well.   Once you have found Petey, please don't remove the container from the host, only remove the log, which may require TOTT, sign and replace.  If you're familiar with the movie you will understand why Petey is in the condition he's in!  Please be mindful of the cactus and Rattlesnakes in the area, and bring lots of water, there is little shade. Happy Hunting and BYOP!

I had a very nice walk in South Valley Park this afternoon and found 5 caches along the way including this one at 4:49 pm. Thanks for the cache!

I like the craftiness of this cache and it gets a favorite point. It's not that hard to get to if you come from the right direction.

Got out early for a delightful walk in the South Valley open space park - this was the first stop on a park-once-find-eight excursion. TN-LN-SL. Thanks !

Another DNF. The hint would have been useful. Last attempt for a dismal day. Very hot. Only one find out of 5 tries!

CO-[FTF] 05-18-2020 at 6:38 am. This morning I woke up against my will at 5:00 am. I looked at my phone, knowing that I needed an FTF today. I scanned the listings and saw this one. Hmm, looks like a short hike. Why would it be a terrain 3? I woke up Windatmyback, strapped on my knee brace and headed out. Traffic from Aurora was pretty light as we headed west.
The crisp morning mountain air greeted us as we grabbed our supplies and threw on a light jacket. We trekked up the trail until it was time to head to the GZ. Now a bit of careful maneuvering and There it was, the golden fleece of caching. Great container well deserving of a favorite point.
After sealing everything up we headed down the trail to the next cache.
Thanks for the cache!
