Jumping Jack Flash

Congratulations to waterwolf&snowkitten for the FTF

Canon City's Arkansas Riverwalk is a world class urban trail system and is a very popular hiking, biking and riding trail. There is a lot of wildlife to be seen here. White tail deer are very common. I've also seen red foxes, coyotes, bears, skunks, muskrats and many, many species of birds. When I was hiding this I saw a garter snake. If you see him leave him alone. He is completely harmless. The cache is located about halfway between the Sells Lake (38 26.319 - 105 13.495) and Raynolds (38 26.253 - 105 12.366) parking areas, so no matter where you park you are going to get some exercise. The cache is a little ways off the trail, but you still need to watch out for muggles. The terrain is fairly flat, depending on which direction you approach from. There are some tripping hazards and cactus so watch your step. There is no need to climb the steep hill. You are looking for a quart size jar, camouflaged and out of sight. Original contents include log & pencil, a light-up yo-yo, mini slinky and other goodies. Park hours are dawn to dusk.

UPDATE: Feb. 23, 2014. I went to check on this today and found the contents strewn about and the log missing. I replaced the container with a larger one and put in a new log. The container is now a regular size. Also I added some fun stuff. Kids should love this one. The terrain is mostly level. The "2" rating is for the giant cholla cactus nearby. Please be careful.
