This is a challenge cache.  The cache is at the posted coordinates and is a 1.5/1.5.  The overall cache difficulty has been adjusted because of the challenge.  To claim a find you must sign the log and meet the requirements listed below.  You are welcome to sign the log at any time, post a note, and log your smiley once you verify the requirements are met.

 

I have trouble qualifying for challenges where you need to find caches in 250, 300, or more counties.  Counties out west are just so big!  So here's a little twist.  The challenge requirements:  Find 1000 caches in a single county.  The county can be anywhere in the US, it does not need to be in Colorado.

I qualify for this challenge with 1,325 finds in Adams County.  There are several counties in the Denver area with over 1,000 hides.

WOO-HOO! Another Challenge Cache is accepted, qualified for, and officially in the log books! Today I joined forces with a powerful Caching buddy in Benji59. I did the driving, he did the navigating and be both collected a whole bunch of trash in our wake, leaving things better than we found it. Thanks to CO Lasouthpaw for the creation and placing of these great new Challenges for us to come out and find, and Happy Memorial Day Everyone! TFTC.

I joined forces today with GeoDog74 as we hit up these challenges and some lonely caches out on the plains. Will log as found when I confirm I qualify.

I get an error whenever I run the checker. It partially works (I get some graphics on a map), then it hangs. I'm not sure if I qualify, I feel it might be close.

After using the challenge checker and discovering that GanderGoose had nine qualifying caches, Spartacus Geodog and I went for a ride on the plains. There was utter peace, beautiful vocalization of songbirds, and the nine caches. On the way back north, we saw a gorgeous pronghorn couple on the road. Thanks for the placement, lasouthpaw!

[FTF] 5-13-2023 at 5:01 pm. This one is sitting above, untouched by the muck. I qualify for this one in 5 counties!
Here is the proof:
LostinDenver has used Project-GC to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.

I have found required number of caches (1000) in each of 5 counties (required number of counties: 1).

Today was rough. I worked, but had to leave early with a migraine headache. After going home, taking medicine, and a 4 hour nap, I was mostly recovered. I headed to an event, then off to a powertrail of challenge caches. That was a blast involving rolling skies and powering through muddy roads. Afterward, I headed northwest and cached back into civilization. Another great day of caching in the books!
