I think I'm going to start carrying a trekking pole on every trip. We didn't see any rattlers today, but it was very handy to push vegetation about (of which there was a lot thanks to recent rains), move containers to make sure there were no spiders or other creatures under it, and just contributed to an overall heightened sense of security. SL, TFTC!
