The cache is NOT at the listed coordinates. Review the cache description and then calculate the correct coordinates.
There’s a famous, highly-traveled hiking trail in Rocky Mountain National Park that ascends to the summit of Twin Sisters Peak, a Ranked Peak within Larimer County. The eastern of the two Sisters is the higher point (elevation 11,428 feet). The park’s boundary with Roosevelt National Forest cuts through this summit point, and a great cache, A Pair of Queens, was hidden by acefaser in 2008 near the top of the East Sister; the cache is positioned just within the national forest property.

36.85 km south south east of this famous landmark of RMNP is another set of peaks having the identical name as these points in the park: Twin Sisters Peak. It’s a Ranked Peak within Boulder County. It, also, has East and West summits, the eastern one being the higher of the two (elevation 8,738). But these “other” twins are not a popular hiking destination! Beginning today, the Twins in Larimer County and the Twins in Boulder County share another feature–now, BOTH support geocaches.

To find the cache in Boulder County (The Other Twins) you will need to do a bit of homework; your calculation to determine the coordinates for The Other Twins will necessitate paying some attention to parameters for A Pair of Queens. The Other Twins cache is 35.129 km south of and 11.101 km east of A Pair of Queens cache.

So calculate the coordinates for The Other Twins, and then take a nice hike to the cache vicinity. The cache is not at the actual summit of the East Sister, but it’s nearby. Don’t go to the false (listed) coordinates on the West Twin. To reach that location might require some gnarly, roped technical climbing.

Once you’ve found the cache and signed its treasure, go to the summit and relax on a soft rock. Eat your lunch or a snack while taking in the sweeping views of the surrounding mountains, especially the Longs-Meeker massif and the captivating summits of the Indian Peaks Wilderness. They rise awesomely to the west of this East Sister. Look for Twin Sisters Peak in RMNP. These twins appear prominent from their counterparts here in Boulder County. And make certain that you gaze over and down at the West Sister and appreciate the fact that I did not hide The Other Twin on THIS other twin! And oh, at the summit of East Sister note the Benchmark. Also, find the nearby USGS Reference Marks. You can double dip on this hike by collecting a cache as well as the summit Benchmark!

Be certain to pack food, fluids, and some extra clothing, in the event your hike takes longer than you anticipate, or if you encounter a change in weather!

I originally used the wrong method to attempt to solve the puzzle so thanks to ernie66 for pointing me in the right direction when I PAF'd. I came up from the Gross Reservoir side. I had to park back in a neighborhood to avoid no parking signs. My route was about five miles round trip using the trail on the OpenCycle map which I would have missed otherwise. You could drive closer but you need high clearance; I passed 2 stock Grand Cherokeesthat were stuck. There were a few patches of snow left yet but they weren't an impediment. When I finally emerged at the top of the East Sister I was greeted with sweeping panoramic views of.... the inside of a cloud. I took a picture and started looking for the cache when suddenly there was a break and I could see the sun shining on the Indian Peaks. After about 90 seconds they were gone. I quickly found the cache and headed down. It was lovely. TNLNSLTFTC

Solved this sometime over the winter in anticpation of the weather warming and the slow melting. That obviously happened long ago now, but I guess I forgot about that I had solved the puzzle in the interim. I was planning on heading out to Gross Reservoir this afternoon and noticed this lonely ? on the geocaching.com map, so I adjusted my plans a bit to visit this cache.

I approached from the south. At some point, I had found some parking coordinates and pasted them into my notes, but they seemed awfully far away and I had no idea where they came from, so I attempted to drive closer. No dice. I'm glad I turned around when I did, because the road got much, much worse. I actually met a Tesla going the opposite way soon after I turned around. He backed up to let me pass and asked me if he could get to the lake on this road. I laughed. Not in a Tesla! I actually met three separate people looking for a different entrance to the lake while back here. I guess that's why there are so many Private Property and No Tresspassing signs around. There are also a bunch of No Shooting Firearms signs, and sure enough, I listened to distant gunfire along my whole hike. Must be annoying to live so far from town and have to deal with people all the time. But unless they moved in before they built the reservoir I guess I don't have much sympathy.

I parked at the lone pulloff along the road and walked to the sisters. I stumbled upon a small trail in an open area off the 4x4 road and followed it all the way ot the top. Much easier than I was expecting! It only took a few minutes to find the cache once I made it to the top. I was surprised to find a fish still swimming inside the cache, after all this time. Thanks so much for bringing me here, the view was great and I didn't see a single person once I left the road.

Got out early today to beat the heat for this one, amazing to find a local on top at the same time. A different kind of puzzle and nice hike in from 68. I am posting the copy of the logbook (seems to be the trend for this one). Cache in great shape, albeit lots of bugs flying around. Thanks for the cache, dipping my coin.

Just to make a note. I didn't find coordinates. I tried to, but the GPS app I use is awful. So I looked around, and it took me less than 5 minutes. My geosenses must have been high. ?

I cannot believe that this hasn't been found since 2011. To be honest, I didn't even plan for a cache to be up here, but after a wonderful hike, and having cell service, I was elated to find something to hunt for! Only a quick hop around led me to this, half buried and filled with a log and a fish. Thank you for the cache and I hope more people come to experience it soon!
