Summer Solstice When : June 21, 2010; June 21, 2011, June 20, 2012; June 21, 2013 Summer Solstice is sometimes referred to as "Midsummer" Litha". It's the longest day of the year. The amount of daylight only goes down from here....for the next six months (more on that later). Summer Solstice is the meteorological start of summer. It's time to enjoy vacations, great weather, pools, baseballs, and everything else that goes along with the favorite season of kids and most adults. Grab your favorite beverage and enjoy the season, because for many of us it is all too short. Did you know? The sun does not set at the North Pole today. There is 24 hours of sunlight. Does it make up for that cold day in December when the sun does not rise above the horizon? No, but on this day it sure does feel good wherever you are!

I was looking all over for this one, until it about smacked me in the face before I saw it - literally. The cache was missing a lid and the log was very damp. I had a spare lid on me that fit the cache and I gave it a new baggie to keep it going.

30th of 55 finds today -- 3:05 p.m.
Out caching in the area on a cold day, visiting from San Jose. This was day 2 of my two week adventure, spent the day caching around the Denver area. This was a quick find with nobody around. Nice hide! TN/LN/SL. Thanks for the cache!

Its been a long hot summer in Texas, I've been trying to get out and do a caching trip a couple of times this summer, but it never worked out. Finally managed to get a week off, and am so happy to be out here in Colorado. The weather if perfect, and there is a load of caches that need my name on Thanks so much for the hide poolsharkycat, I really enjoyed finiding this cache!

Discovered a nice row of 22 caches on the geocaching map so I headed south on a beautiful summer day in pursuit of the dragon souvenir. It was a peaceful road this morning. This is my favorite day of the year - summer is the best season! Thanks for the placement, poolsharkycat!
