Log was still damp. I turned the jar upside down to hopefully keep it drier.

As I made my way across the plain and over the deep ravine, I thought to myself, "Surely we aren't going up there." Yep, and stop calling me Shirley. Actually was just a wee climb and the obvious locale held the booty. Log was wet, which was very strange in this barren wasteland. My guess is that it is so airtight, the condensation is never allowed to escape. Maybe next cacher could take one of those little silica gel packs that come in beef jerky packs. Thanks for placing some easy ones for us newbies.

Water in the cache, log was too wet to sign! A fun little adventure.

With a few finds yesterday, the 65 degree temps today and only 5 finds away from 500, I knew I couldn't stay home and clean house today. So GeoHubby and I loaded up to get the milestone and enjoy the nice weather. When we got to this point, I only needed TWO more finds to get 500! Wow, what an adventure this was. We drove closest across from GZ and then tried to find the best place to cross the ravine. We finally found a good place and made it to the other side. Good thing we both keep our Muck boots in the truck this time of year, it was a muddy, slippery, slimy mess! Once we were out of the majority of the slop and were headed straight for GZ......the GPS batteries die....... Too far from the truck to go back for the phone, so GeoHubby takes off in the direction we were headed. With only a few obvious choices, he made the find at the second spot he looked. Wahoo! True to the other comments this was the biggest and easiest jake92 I've ever seen. TFTC! Only one left......

Found this one out caching with Linecacher and Beth1957. This is probably the largest and easiest Jake92 we have spotted Wink Back from the short hike just in time before getting drenched by the rain. TFTC SL
