Hike up the hill and see the Eagle River Valley from a great viewpoint above Edwards. Some call it the Vail Valley. I call it the Eagle River Valley. I don't live in Vail, I live "down valley". Vail stops at Dowd Junction and this part of the valley is another world full of local businesses and people who live here year-round, know and help each other and have a strong community connection. No ghost towns here in the off-season. Hike, bike, paddle, shop, eat and just enjoy being. This is the place. Ahhhhh....enjoy my place. Visit Avon, Edwards, Eagle and Gypsum. We're for real!
There are 2 trailheads that will get you to this cache. 1)Limited roadside parking is available at the intersection of June Crk Rd/Singletree Rd to hike up the back way. 2)Parking at the Singletree Park/Community Ctr at the intersection of Winslow Rd/Berry Crk Rd. From there you would have to walk up Berry Crk Rd to the TH at Filly Drive. There is no parking available in the immediate vicinity of the 2nd TH.

10/12/2014 By Back Country Horsemen The sun had come out so we decided to do the hike. About 1/2 way there another squall came in with corn snow & wind. Right after we found the cache it turned to really big wet flakes & made the trail a slick track so we "skipped" through the sage & grass to keep from sliding on our a__! By the time we got back to the gravel the sun had come back out & folks were returning with their dogs. The trees in the gulch were fabulous! I took several pics.
