Scout's Spot – micro cache at a little known
trail head.
Scout's Spot is near the start of a trail that will take
you to a great view of Pulpit Rock and the surrounding
wilderness.
There is parking close to the cache. This is mostly a gravel paved
trail and I suspect it is wheelchair accessible. There is a fun
cache (PD's CamoTater) that is close to the trail.
Like all my caches, Scout's Spot is in plain view. You
do NOT need to touch or disturb anything in order to see and
find the cache. The cache is not on private property. There's
no need to take things apart to see if they might be the cache.
Note the cache is well camouflaged so you may see it but not
realize it. Please bring your own pencil
Unlike most of my caches, Scout's spot is a micro and is
not in wilderness or tough terrain. It however is in
a spot to entice the less adventurous geocachers to visit a
beautiful area I chose this location to be easy to get to and I
wanted to put out something for those that can't visit the
tougher terrain on my other caches (I intended this to be
wheelchair accessible). Even though it's a micro, it is in
plain sight and is not a needle in a haystack type of find.
.
Effective July 19, 2010, I have moved the cache slightly so
it is now out of sight of the houses and it is a slightly different
type container but the difficulty remains about the same.
