I've had this one on my to-do list for a very long time. As ernie66 and I were in the area (sort of) today, he was kind enough to do it a second time. He knew from the last time he did it which way NOT to go. Amazing granite formations. Quite the climb, but well worth it. Thanks for the fun.

I also had the coordinates for this for a long time, but didn't seem to ever get here. Today was the day - nice hike with W&T and good weather and views. TFTC

This has been in my solved stack for ages but I hadn't gotten around to it. COpackrat was in the area today so we made the rounds. We found a reasonable route into the area but the brush at the stream crossing was pretty thick. Great views. Thanks for bringing us up here. TFTC

I had solved this some time ago & was just waiting for a chance to ride the nearby trail & see if I could get to the final. I took the chance & stashed my horse about .2 mile away and started my climb. It was tough & I was worried I had the wrong solution or I had written it down wrong or... because it just didn't seem like I was heading for a likely cache hiding sight. But on I went & huff, puff finally got to about 100' from GZ. HUGE BOULDERS! Do I go up? Down? I looked at the spoiler pic that I had printed out. Tried one way and got to 40' but not any closer. Tried the harder way (of course) and found a route that I didn't need ropes. Finally within 15' of GZ, look at the photo again. While I'm doing this I hear off in the distance what I think is a motorcycle starting, on Mt. Herman Rd.? But then I hear it again, firecrackers! Are they near my horse? All kinds of terrible things go through my mind. I hear the popping two more times. Should I abandon my search & see if there's a problem? but I'm so close. Then I see something that could be what the pic shows and I inspect closer, Eureka! there's what looks like a brand new container!
This was my big adventure for the day that's for sure. And as for my wonderful horse-he was just fine resting in the shade.
