Gravel Parking lot with low difficulty of access. A few feet off the parking lot walk in the dirt under barrier fence line.
This is a "Lake County Fun Place" outdoor recreation area that is funded by Lottery Funds.

Restrooms are also available! Stop off the highway and enjoy!

Free Public Access and parking to access Open Space and a wonderful lake for fishing.

Handicap accessible lake and facilties limited by some gravel and dirt trails. Dock is available for wheelchair access for fishing.

There is an adjacent fee area also accessible that is part of the Upper Arkansas Headwaters Recreation area and is known as Hayden Meadows Recreation Area.

We stopped to find this cache while road tripping from Chaska, Minnesota. It turned out to be a quick park and grab as we made our way from Salida toward Vail. Julia spotted it first. Thanks!
