Rob14erGuy did the initial heavy lifting on this one and I acted as a sounding board for ideas. most of which were worthless :-) However, the CO provided the appropriate amount of additional information to get Rob to the final coordinates, which when he mentioned that information to me, I did the classic hand slap to the forehead as was actually something of which I was aware but of course didn't think to apply it ;-) Regardless, it was very satisfying to get our names on the log sheet under Ernie. No shame to follow Ernie as I often refer to him as the human geochecker :-) Thanks to Eric for creating an amazing favorite point worthy puzzle, albeit one that almost ruined or should I say runed our brains!!

I already knew Ernie was amazing at solving tough puzzles, but this one proves again how good he is. Unlike Ernie, I needed a little help getting the final coordinates. I was happy to get the first part done on my own but then got stuck and had no idea what to do next. Kenyansherpa and I pondered and tossed ideas around before I reached out to the CO for help. He gave me just enough help to get further along and finally come up with Geochecker success! I learned something new in the process to add to my arsenal of puzzle solving ideas.
Thanks for the fun!

FTF! at 9:15am.
That's a lot of runes! I had the first couple of steps figured out even before the latest update but didn't know what to do with what I had. I repeated the translation a second time after the update and got essentially the same results. I went down a lot of dead-end paths trying to interpret what I was seeing in a way that would result in coordinates. A couple of odd things kept nagging at me, though, and I felt sure they had to be significant somehow (unless, of course, they were red herrings).
This morning, I tried a few more ideas and, bingo, geochecker success! I dropped everything, gathered my stuff, and drove over to make the find. In hindsight, the right way to interpret what I had arrived at makes perfect sense now

Images have been replaced with a updated puzzle that has all the letters of the alphabet.
I promise that all the kinks are now worked out.

I didn't notice that the font I used has the same character for I&J AND U&V
This is making things not work as intended.
I'm working on a work around. Expect the images to change in the near future.
Either I have to change the entire font, which is not fair to those that have already been working on this. Or I have to replace some of the duplicate characters to numbers. Which is probably the route I will go.

I am so so sorry to anyone that has been working on this puzzle.
Rune #2 was only half there. The entire left column was missing.
Image has been fixed and the puzzle will now work... if you can figure it out.
Many thanks to toolrep1 for making me realize my error.
