This is another part of the Rockn Raisin Series but is also a great cache by itself. Also look for Flyin Raisin, Groovin Raisin, and Beach Goin Raisins.
If you find the correct ridge to follow this will be a nice long easy hike. If you get on the wrong ridge you will have alot of ups and downs. The view from the way point and the final are amazing. I saw plenty of deer and an eagle, I also picked up an elk antler shed. There is an old trail that will take you most of the way. Please follow the closed to motor vehicle advisement.

I had a blast on this one - didn't quite get on the right ridge at first and had one big ol' UP to start things off. I loved the views and found that this redirector had been signed by a hiker in July! Get here, OK... look under here, whaaat??
Well anyway, my gpsr didn't agree at all with either of the possibilities mentioned at the wave. I wasted plenty of time in the wrong areas before getting 'on board' hint-wise, and found it in perfect shape. This one, too, had been found in June by climbers who merely asked that their climbing gear be left alone ( I saw none)! My gpsr may have been way off, but look near a tree about 10 or so feet tall; where things fit right in with the hides of the series. Plus, you can see the really nice trail network that you should have followed all along!!!!

"Let's go surfin' now..." Couldn't get that song out of my head. Great views of Big Rock from the waypoint, and a nice day for hiking in spite of the occasional sprinkles. Glad I didn't get caught in the undertow at the final! Thanks for another quality cache!

This drive and hike into the Tarryall Massif area was a staggering eye opener for me. You can only get so much information from reports of a fire that torched approximately 137,000 acres of Colorado wilderness, burned over 100 homes and forced the evacuation of over 5,000 people. It needs to be seen. In spite of the devastation caused by this fire, the wildlife is flourishing and the hike offers incredible views of the rock formations and of the South Platte river. Now, as far as the actual cache is concerned…thank you Adrenalin Junkie for the adrenalin fix, but I think I'm too old for this kind of thing. Still, if it weren't for you and Ernie, I wouldn't have seen something that I really needed to see.

Sorry, F3, but we didn't find your iPhone. I met estes01 this morning and we came up from You Are Impossible along a ridgeline, then merged with the path heading out to the cache. What a spectacular view from the first waypoint! We made our way to the final location and again marveled at the location. This is a really neat area; thanks for bringing us out here!

Happy to grab the FTF on a quality cache. Took the listed advice about route finding and prepped before leaving the house. Can see how launching into this one would have increased the rating.

This was our first trip into the burn area this year and was pleasantly surprised with the level of regrowth and that it doesn’t smell like fire anymore. I think the devastation really opened the area up and brings to light exactly how vast this region is. Anyway, its beautiful once again and the hike is appreciated. We ate lunch at the first leg, and believe that the eagle is nesting below. Heard him rustling about and then saw him circle below for a bit before launching south.

When we reached the final, things began to take turn for us. Found the hide with some searching, but about the same time I realized that I had dropped my phone along the way. This sent both of us into a mild panic as we backtracked looking for it. Of course then it began to rain with a spot of hail. The storm didn’t too last long but we retreated as there was lightning and what appeared to be another cloud system behind it.

Phenomenal area, great cache, and an iPhone somewhere between clue and final laying on the ground! TFTC – dropped a coin
