This cache is hidden between Rifle Gap and Harvey Gap. Please start your hunt from the parking lot as there is lots of private land around here.(Cache is a little over a mile from the parking lot). A four wheel drive is recommended for this although we were on a four wheeler and dirt bike. Can't be too hard as we are a couple of women and a four year old. Do not attempt driving road when wet.
Orignal cache contents are: ET toy, Rock belt buckle, lizards, petrified wood, scissors, railroad spike, key necklace, Colorado Tax token and other misc.
Cache container is a small swiss chocolate tin.
Good cache for spring and fall and maybe even the winter if you wanted to snowshoe. Will be hot and buggy in the summer months.

Visiting the area from Denver picking up older caches. It has been over a year but it is still there. Took a bit of searching until I found the right spot. The container is rather rusted so was hard to open. Thanks for keeping this one going!

Nice area that could use some more caches! Hummm, may have to remedy that! Cache was jam packed. Tried to organize it a bit! TFTC E!

It was dry today so I drove to within 300 feet of it and climbed the hill on foot the rest of the way. I almost couldn't get the lid off. Some nice trinkets inside but I dicovered at THIS cache that I had left my cachinpak at a previous cache in Silt. I had nothing but a pen. TNLN/ SL. This cache could use a new log. It's down to people signing scraps of paper now.

Kept on climbing and winding in our Grand Cherokee Jeep as we followed the GPS...got narrower as it went higher and higher. We usually ride ATVs and would have found this a fun and easy trail if we had been on those. Just within 400 feet of the cache a sudden big storm swept in and inundated us with thunder, lightning and rain. Our jeep slid off to one side, we had to run down hill as fast as we could go to find the cache. Hidden very well...thanks for the encrypted hints..needed those when under the gun! After the find, we had to continue on and around on a trail that had turned to grease and made it very likely to slide off the side of the mountains. My husband, Road Toad, rated this to be a pucker factor of eight.
