When you develop over the top of a wetland, the Army Corps of Engineers require that you mitigate.
Wetlands are considered the most biologically diverse of all ecosystems.
This is an approximately 15 acre mitigated wetlands area required by the Army Corp of Engineers as part of the developments original approval. Most of us just zoom by, but it's a beautiful example of what can be done to enhance habitat. Take a minute to check out the wildlife and let us know what you see.

Parking is available close to the cache. No need to hide it well, just put it back where you found it. It hides the container all too well on it's own.

The Spanish name for this cache is in celebration of the recent victory in finding GC26224. BYOP

We are staying at an RV Resort area in Bayfield. It is a lovely place and there are lots of caches in Bayfield and Durango. Today was a caching morning. We had breakfast in Bayfield and then started caching toward Duarngo. We found a few around down town, and then headed up this way to search out some more. I neglected to take my cache first aide kit with me, so could not fix the cracked container. A new log was added since there was no log in sight. The container should be repaired/replaced before the rain and snow starts. TFTC

Tube is cracked and snow or rain may cause wet logs. There was no long when we found it so added a replacement.
