WARNING!!!
First of all, the area is covered with nasty thorn bushes. Then, while attempting to find the cache at the given coords, we managed to stir up a wasp nest. We both received stings for our efforts and never found the cache. You might consider avoiding this one.

We rode the new trail from the Little Scraggy TH & tried to find both lonely caches along the way. Unfortunately we were 0 for 2. Steep hike up to this one with lots of sticker bushes to contend with while searching under every rock & boulder. Even looked downhill in case it became dislodged. Nothing

We gave it a try, but couldn't find the right trail. Lonely caches are a challenge for us, but there were a BUNCH of bikers on the trail today.

Nice hiking trail. This one hasn't been visited for some time, but the container is in good shape. TFTC

I must have taken the hard way up to the cache, but was very happy to have found it. The rating for the terrain does need to be boosted up, as it's a pretty stiff hike to the cache. Quite a few thorn bushes in the area, so wear jeans if you intend to go up there! TFTC.

I put this one off long enough. Today was the day to go after it. Campground is still closed for the season (but the restrooms are unlocked Wink )

Should have a higher terrain rating for sure but tftc.

There is no way that is a 2.5 terrain unless maybe your a mountain goat. The slope was step and tons of thorn bushes and a few cactus on the route up. I wore long pants and had on a jacket and I still got scratched up. The views are awesome though.

Thought this one would be easy, but nooooooooooooooooo..... Steep slope, thornbushes and heavy shrubbery may be the reason that this log has not been signed since Sept 2010. A great hide, and lots of fun (where's the salve???).
Dropped off TB "M. A.'s Opener". T-"Hi Honey" doll. L-Antique model car. SL. TFTC.

After a leg-scatching hike straight up a hill, we found the cache! It is in great condition. The last log on the website shows a find on 10/2008, but the paper log in the cache shows June of 2009. Given how close it is to Kelsey Campground, I am surprised it isn't pursued more often. Anyway, thanks for the great view! I agree that the difficulty is more a 3-4....my 5 year old didn't make it up there, but your might :) Last note: I didn't see the Geocoin listed, but maybe overlooked it.
