Thank you CEGT for the Traditional.

We are always grateful to this who place and maintain caches for families like us to enjoy. This cache is in good shape. No spoilers here but there is a video on on Instagram. Hehe

Thanks again for the cache.

You are likely to hear more about our caching exploits on our weekly podcast, GeocacheTalk.com

Working the area power trails to knock out the Mystical Creatures quest. This is a cut and paste due to the need for speed. If there are any issues, they will be added. Thank you for the placement!
Glad to see a 5/5 out here! Had to give it a go. Luckily I had the necessary TOTT for the task. I think the log extraction was harder then the find! I enjoyed the hunt!
Fav!

Loaded up the geovehicle with some TOTTs (extention ladder, extention pole, flashlight etc.) and headed out for this 5/5 cache. Took a while, but I finally made the find. TFTC

As Denali41 wrote in his log, we had previously planned a trip to Curt Gowdy State Park today. As we were making the drive north the topic of this new cache was one both of us had on our minds. We decided a detour had to be made on our way home. Caches with 5/5 ratings are magnetic to us and it takes a lot to cause us to pass one up. Today there wasn't anything holding us back so after our very enjoyable hike in CGSP we drove out to the grasslands to give this one a try.

When we arrived at GZ and surveyed the terrain in front of us, I recognized this was not a good place for my 3 month old puppy to be. It's definitely a location that could harbor a snake or other harmful plants and animals. I left her tethered to a fence post that was out of the "danger zone" but not too far away. But it still was too far for her liking and she yelped quite a bit while Denali41 and I conducted our search. So when Denali41 came up with the find, my puppy and I both yelped for joy. We signed the log as co-{FTF}ers and hightailed it back to the car, all puppies and people unscathed!

Thanks CEGT for another "extreme" cache, keep them coming!!!

Ok, I'm making a new rule. Denali and IceZebra are no longer allowed to cache together. We can't put a challenge in front of them they can't overcome. I mean seriously! This was supposed to be difficult. Dang you guys are good.

This morning, icezebra11 and I went to Curt Gowdy State Park west of Cheyenne with our three puppies to check on a couple of my caches in the park. Last evening both of us had noticed the publication of this new CEGT cache and decided, after finishing at Curt Gowdy, to detour east out onto the prairie en route south from Cheyenne to Wellington. We reached the coordinates and were confronted with quite “interesting” challenges, indeed. Yes, most certainly, the area surrounding GZ is one very likely to attract and hold a variety of snakes, including Prairie Rattlers. So we were very careful, and had the puppies under vigilant control as we worked our way through the various options that came to mind, watching constantly for any slytherin creatures that might pop out from the numerous hiding possibilities! In fact, we became so concerned that we leashed the dogs to a nearby structure to preclude their getting into possible trouble, as we examined the long list of possible hide features the area around GZ presents.

After a bunch of searching, we eventually came up with this tough cache. We were happy to ink the field log book as co-{FTF}ers. Thanks for the unusual challenges associated with this cache, CEGT.
