This cache is hidden at a rocky point near the top of Bennett Mountain off of Forest Road 514. It is in Pike National Forest.
This is another in a series of caches that are all along trails west and southwest of Denver.
I provided a parking waypoint from which you should head north past the road closed gate and then you will be on FR 514. Keep going on this road until you come to the turnoff waypoint. Then you get to find your way to the cache location via a trail that heads to the saddle. Then head south from there - there is sometimes a trail and sometimes you just have to find your way. There is nothing terribly hard about the road or the approach to the cache but there are some rocky areas to navigate at the cache location. It is about 1.25 miles one way to the cache. I used a bike to get most of the way there but stashed it before climbing.
Follow highway 67 to Moonridge and then follow the signs to get to the archery range. You can park near it and you don't have to pay anything unless you want to also do some archery.
Note that hunting is allowed in this area. In fact, when I arrived back at my car, I had a nice chat with a hunter who was heading out with his shot gun to find some turkeys!
Oh, and bring your own pen.
