The grounds are interesting & unusual. The ground sometimes reverberates with dancing feet & voices raised in song to the beat of a huge skin drum. The cache is not in the Hogan. It is outside the new wood fence.

You're looking for a round 2"x2"x1.5" Loc-n-Loc with little trinkets inside. Please bring a pencil. Please hide it well, lots of muggles around sometimes!

Be sure to go inside, the museum has art work, jewelry, books, flutes & wonderful exhibits of Native American arts, crafts, relics, etc. Take a walk thru history. www.cortezculturalcenter.org

Abrakadabra.
6 weeks vacation with crazy Bebbigirl in the northwest and midwest of the USA. The headquarters in Seattle visited, the APE and many other beautifuls Geocaches in 13 Staates.

Simsalabim.
No Muggles here. a good Place. We sleep here in the near overnight. An the BBQ-Fire we becom new Friends from Colorado.

I like geocache-tours on this planet. With cars or with my motobike. Last Year i was 4 weeks in mongolia.
The Gobi-Desert. Not so many Geocache.

Our first cache in Colorado. We found this nice city during our three-week trip through the southwest US states. Every day we have visited many great places and from LA we have traveled here to Cortez. We did not locate the cache for a while, but then we found it happily. Finally, we went to see the community center too, we liked it very much. Thank you for the cache!

I went by & replenished the swag in the cache. There seems to be an ant hill under some of the rocks. Soon I will see if I can relocate the cache so as not to disturb them. Happy caching! TillyMae :D

Came down to visit Mesa Verde, 4 corners, do a few geo-tours with some geocaches along the way. Back in town after a long day out with a few hours to fill. What do I do? Cache of course....

Giving this one a favorite and dipping a few of my travel bugs.

Thanks for another fun cache in this large long running series. Spent some time in Cortez while on a family vacation. We explored Mesa Verde, Hovenweep, and Canyons of the Ancients. Enjoyed lots of learning experiences for the kids. Grabbed a few caches while in town and this was one of them. After catching a show of some Native dancing and music at the cultural center we walked around the corner and made the sorta quick find. Much smaller and better hidden than expected. Stamped the log and replaced as found. All is well here. Thanks for placing this one for us to enjoy!
