Takes less than an hour  Scenic view  Available at all times  Drinking water nearby  Stealth required  Needs maintenance

Nice easy cache located at 6446 ft. above the level of the
oceans

Watch for muggles along the busy highway... Good wide parking area
here on the south side of road.

Lock and Lock container with a pen, pencil, log book and
room for trade items

This cache is located at what I call "Bear River Spring". This
spring supplied some of the water for the numerous coal mining
camps that used to thrive along this section of the Yampa River or Bear
River as it was sometimes called in those days. The nearest camp was also
named Bear River. The spring still runs cold and clean. I know
people who to this day will drive over 30 miles to fill containers
with this water for home drinking and cooking. The spring is
located directly across the highway from the cache site. Be careful
crossing the road, but by all means be sure to sample the water.
Some even claim it has healing and protective qualities, I just
know it tastes good!

Have fun!

Biked here from Austin, Texas and are headed to Anchorage, Alaska as a part of a nonprofit organization called Texas 4000. We fundraise money for cancer research and support services and then cycle over 4500 miles to Alaska.

We decided to stop for a cache here and check out the views.

Visiting from North Carolina. today I started my county run of Colorado. I have all counties east of I-25. Working on the western ones now. Starting in the central and northern sections. Quick find. I signed the logs with my handle or as "FF" on the smaller logs. This was my '20th' find for today. Thanks 'cocoalminer' for a fun time in the area.
