This is part of my series to give thanks to those Geocachers that
influence me to go outside and discover new places and challenges.

Edwards654

Thanks for all you do for Geocaching. Your hides make me want to go out and discover and explore the area in which I live. Your creative caches are great and can throw off even the best cachers.

Edwards654 has over 30,000 finds, you heard me, and over 90 owned caches. They have the very impressive streak of finds for consecutive days of over 3800 days, that is over 10 years of finding a cache every day……mic drop….
They joined Geocaching on September 30th of 2009.

You might meet Edwards654 at events or out geocaching. Maybe even on a Zoom Puzzle meeting.

When I checked out GZ on Google Earth, The first thing I thought was, not this heinous area again! After spending what seemed like a lifetime searching for a prior hide there, I was happy to spot this one and sign the log with all the potential hiding places. Nice tribute to an excellent caching duo and creative cache construction. Thanks for the new hide!

CO FTF with some of my favorite people... cool cache

Found it 04/27/2020 By 2lablovers
Co-{FTF} at 7:28 am with LostinDenver, WindatMyBack and Edwards654 with a surprise visit by the CO himself. This is the first cache we have found in over a month due to the coronavirus restrictions and it was wonderful to be out, even with the necessary masks and social distancing. Very clever cache and in honor of two great friends and cachers.

04/27/2020 at 7:28 am, Gigantic, massive, humongous, super large, CO-[FTF] with Edwards654, Windatmyback, 2lablovers, and FRED! We happened to be in Parker, Colorado, knowing that Douglas County is one of the counties that has not extended the Stay at Home orders. COVID-19 has reeked havoc on my caching this month. So, as soon as our phone sounded the FTF alarm, we headed toward the cache. Windatmyback was riding shotgun and 2LL and E654 were in their own cars, driving caravan style. Once we parked, we masked up and headed out on foot. We were appropriately 6' apart. It wasn't hard since Sue (both of them) can walk faster than I can hobble along. At the coords I quickly found a camouflage tape covered Lucky Charms box. No log inside, but there was a scrap of paper with crayon scribblings - something about an FTF. Knowing the CO's background, I knew the Lucky Charms was obviously a decoy. After sifting through 6 or 7 other obvious decoys (including hand crafted paper mache bagpipes), we finally put our dirty hands on the container. I'll toss a favorite at this one for the sheer craftiness of the CO, who BTW, buzzed by on his hardtail to intimidate us. But it was already too late. We found it.
I'm not giving any hints. I'll only say this - well done! What a great tribute to great geocaching friends.
Thanks for the cache!
