This cache was my goal today. I had already found the feeder caches over the years but had missed 3 of the codes. I picked one up several weeks ago. Today we took the horses to Sharptail to revisit Orange & got that code, loaded them back in the trailer and drove up to the Highline Canal lot at the south entrance of Chatfield. Unfortunately the canal trail is closed & all dug up by construction to the west but we snuck around & picked it up at the older neighborhood. We were only able to get through because it was Saturday and they weren’t running the big equipment. We stopped at violet & got the final code number and continued here. While the huggle held the horses I got the cache & darned if the container wasn’t even locked! So I signed the log & opened the lock & resecured it. So for now the next finder will definitely need the code (sorry but that’s the game).

I went out for some Fathers' Day caching today and made the find here at 4:10 pm. Thanks for the cache and for adding to the fun!

Since this is the same cache and log as a previous hid, I spotted my stamp on the first page. It had black ink. My current one with the same log is blue and I stamped it next to my earlier spot.

This was a fine little hike and a great hide. Some of the cottonwoods have been cut down nearby and I thought that might be a problem but it wasn't. I saw a deer after finding the cache and heard a hawk too. As I exited the hiding area, there were two muggles coming.

I left a travel bug.

I had already spent the morning with the lovable herndonrd (also known as Captain Cuddles) getting an FTF on the east side of town. So, it wasn't difficult for him to coax me into going for another one this afternoon, especially since I like this series.

We arrived at the cache site and began our search with the hopes that we would be the first to find. As is the norm, I did my duty and ruled out all the spots where you did not hide the container so that herndonrd could find it and feel better about himself. Anything I can do to maintain his self-esteem and save an unsuspecting psychotherapist from a glimpse into his twisted mind is the least I can do for society.

But I digress.

Once he had the cache in hand, the real challenge began. We spent more time arriving at the correct combination and getting it open than actually finding the container. Though I say we, it was really all him since he has control issues and wouldn't let me touch anything.

But I digress.

After the lock finally cooperated, we celebrated mightily when we saw the log and knew that the [FTF] was ours. After we did the sign and replace thing, we went back to the car and accepted the fact that we both had seen enough of the other for one day. Thanks for the fun hide and for giving me the opportunity to spend my day with Mister Disneyland - the happiest person on Earth.

P. S. No animals (including humans, aliens, or PayMeCache) were harmed in the writing of this log.

Note to finders- to close this lock you have to leave it on the correct combo, insert it all the way in and then move the digits to lock it. Do anything else and you will have no luck getting it to close. Also, there is a new page for the logs in this location/GC number in the log book.

{FTF} @ 1225 with FeartheFish. Between us we had done most/all of the seven feeder caches (but forgot to get the numbers on some of them). When this published I expected one of the previous finders to rush over and get it but I guess not. Picked up what we still needed on the long drive over, including Violet on the walk down. Pretty easy find; getting the combo to work not so much (we found out that simple math is beyond us). Finally got it open and started a new page for the new location and GC number. Really well done series; give the series a fav! TFTC!

Since this cache was moved from a different location, yes, it will still have signatures in the logbook.
