Micro cache hidden at the start of an interesting side trail. This is the toughest cache in my Pooky series.
Pooky's Passage is hidden near the start of a trail that is still under construction off the Fountain Creek trail. The Cottonwood bike trail starts here but doesn't go far (yet). It's still a nice side trip up that trail and it's a good get-away and infrequently visited because that portion of the trail is still incomplete. Today when I placed the cache there were news crews within view of the cache reporting on a bear that reportedly chased a woman nearby and a year ago I saw a moose at this location.

As is my standard, the cache is hidden in plain sight. There is no need to disturb anything to find the cache. This is a tiny cache and may require use of tweezers to remove the log if the past finder is too aggressive in replacing the log. Please bring your own pencil and tweezers.

Bumped up the rating on this from 3 to 3.5 based on feedback from early cachers. April 2, 2010, I am increasing the difficulty to 4 after more feedback.

Looked for a hot min. I honestly think I found where it goes but it’s missing. Or maybe we suck. We’ll be back

After visiting one of the museums in the Springs, KalBB8 wanted to attempt his first D=4. I had some ideas, but they ended up all being wrong guesses.

Once we learned about the Hidden Creature Challenge we knew we would have to travel in order to complete the challenge. We simply did not have one hundred caches within 40 miles to be able to log.. Since we had not been in the Pueblo area for years we decided to cache our way to and then in the area.

Day one started cool as we left very early in the morning, then grew to a very hot day. We performed maintenance for numerous cache owners. We replaced wet and full logs as well as broken and incomplete containers. We also replaced complete caches that were missing and accumulating numerous DNF's. We also had DNF's of our own on caches that were recently found but did not replace those. Took a few minutes of searching to finally nab this one. Very nice hide and camo, SL

Took us a few minutes to find it… We have different definitions of “hidden in plain sight“… But finally! Got ink on the log. TFTH
