This is a camouflaged plastic peanut jar hidden in the corner of this undeveloped Denver Mountain Park. This is an off-trail steep climb with somewhat of a path that is faint and might be hard to see at first. We loved this park because it was an adventure for us!
If you have a 4 wheel drive, you could park at the parking coordinates which is a hidden pull-out on North Turkey Creek Road. The faint trail that we found is right across the street from that parking area.

If you have a small car, there are other possible pull-offs nearby.

Hiked over from "King of the Hill." Found without difficulty. It is nicely secured. Traded items. Let me just say - to anybody reading this log in anticipation of their own visit - do not underestimate the difficulty of the terrain. After placing the cache back in its secure spot, I started off in the general direction that I came, but wandered far off track. I tried to backtrack to the saddle between Duck and King but veered off to the northeast before correcting my path twice. Each detour required bushwhacking up steep contours to get back where I thought I should be. When I finally located the saddle and began to descend, I found it was much steeper and thickly vegetated with scrub oak, than I remembered on the way up. Fell three times, once nearly impaling myself on a dead stem or thin trunk with sharp point (scraped my inner thigh, just missed doing some serious damage). Was quite glad to finally spot car from above, but even then, took some serious work to get all the way down. Quite the memorable adventure.

In summary, my advice is (1) make a waypoint where you park before you leave. The hill slopes steeply away on all sides and it is so easy to descend in a wrong direction. (2) best descent is to the south of the gully between "King" and "Duck", almost directly below "King." It is steep but more open. Avoid descending the gully - quite treacherous.

My final find of the day. Definitely a bugger of a time getting up to it and even harder going down! Fun park though! TFTC!

After more than a year and a half, the ducks were just fine when I got there today. I was somewhat surprised to met an muggle and his dog hiking up here. I am glad to have smileys on these two. TFTC. On to the next.

Went after this one today after grabbing a nearby challenge cache. I parked right on the shoulder of the parking coordinates. I have not fully adjusted to the altitude yet and would say that every inch of the climb was every bit of a T4. I found sporatic portions of trail, or maybe run paths from the animals, not sure. I enjoyed it. TFTC!
