In the mists of time, there once was a magical horse named Dream Dancer. He was a wise and powerful being who ruled all the horse clans in peace and harmony. He was a magnificent creature. Rippling muscles were clothed with a shiny, velvet, ebony colored coat of hair that shimmered even in the moonlight. His mane and tail were like waterfalls of silver, and his eyes were like deep pools of sapphires. His hooves were shod with four golden horseshoes that were encrusted with rare and precious jewels. They were said to have magical powers of their own, though only Dream Dancer ever knew whether they did or not.

There came a time when men came to know of the legendary horse, and his golden horseshoes and pursued Dream Dancer relentlessly. Knowing that he would never have peace as long as he wore his horseshoes, he formulated a plan. Calling two of his sons and two of his daughters to his side, he gave each one a horseshoe and charged them with hiding them, telling no one of their locations, the only clues being in the hoofbeat code.

Long forgotten, and lost in the ripples of time, the hoofbeat code has no complete translation known to man. However...parts of the code were saved and given to 3 guardians. It has been said that only the truly adventurous and pure of heart have even a chance of finding even one of the guardians, let alone the horseshoes. Many, Many have sought the clues, in the hopes of obtaining power and riches, but all have failed.

First, you must find the guardians of the hoofbeat code. They are hiding in three different caches, and won`t be easy to find...but I`ll give you a clue for each of the three...

#1...One of the guardians is a twiddler resting in a B&B...
#2...One of the guardians will put spots in your eyes...
#3...One of the guardians is a part of a wild west adventure story..

Moon Shadow was a quiet, reclusive horse, with hair the color of midnight silk. His mane, tail and forelocks flashed like starlight. His eyes were silvery orbs of molten silver. His favorite trails were up in the Dinosaur Flats area off Red Canyon Road.
The trail to his secret starts at the co-ords above. This road is doable for most vehicles...but it is rough in a few spots, so medium clearance is recommended...When I used to have a mini-van, my vehicle did just fine...there will be side road off the main dirt one that will take you to a parking spot...this seems to be a popular late night party spot, so please re~hide as good or better than you find it, as my first one was stolen...it is about 350 feet away from the parking area...as you drive up, you should be able to see Moonshadow peeking out from the rock formations...

Our last one to finish up the Horseshoe series. These were fun! From doing all the different series to get the code, to solving the puzzles, and definitely going to each GZ, every one of them was a nice hide and container with awesome views. Love the placement on this one. This is what geocaching is all about. Thanks for all the work you put into these!

Second stop this morning and a great view from here.

Thanks for another fun cache to find!

Hartsdale and I headed up to this area to see if we could find two of the puzzle in the area. We made it to the top of the area and made a fairly quick find. After enjoying the view we headed back down. Thanks for the puzzle!
