Things should be good to go again for this cache; the final is in place again and some of the beginning stages have been repaired/replaced (many thanks to RPieperCO for the help with those!). Please disregard the coordinates to the bonus cache found on the log for the final - the bonus cache’s hiding spot has been bulldozed amidst some recent property development and is now underneath a roadbed. I have archived it for this reason.

I have been working on this one gradually since spring. I got the green light from the checker for the final and tried to find it today. No luck. Checking with the CO.

I solved the 1st WP at about the time the cache was published and today was the day I thought I would get started on it. Not sure what the best approach to the 1st WP would be so I ended up parking at N 39° 04.285 W 104° 30.525. I made my way over to GZ and found myself about 15-20 ft below a small cliff. I searched the general area (rocks and two juniper trees) with no luck. I made my way to the rock face and searched every crevasse and under every rock that I saw. I continued to the top of the cliff searching all the way up as well as the pine tree at the top. I searched and researched the rock face and all of the surround trees. I finally gave up after about an hour and a half search. Not my day I guess.

The Lady Gypsy: What a fantastic cache series! We both had a great time solving the puzzles and going on the hikes. El Gypsy the Puzzle Master solved the first stage and the next morning I went to find it. Easy peasy. Thanks to my super cool iPhone, the puzzle was an easy solve so off I went to find the second stage.
Because I'm the leverage queen, I got the third stage coordinates and went off on another hike. Stage 3 is on a hike I know and dearly love but that isn't the hike I did. So, hike one failed. The next day I went back to the same area with a girlfriend of mine and we went searching. I ended up on the wrong finger. By this time I was frustrated, scratched up and tired, wondering why on earth I didn't bring my partner and trusty navigator. To make it worse, Ernie66 and Estes01 found the final first. Determined, on Day 3, I took El Gypsy back there after he got off work and he walked straight to it. After solving the puzzle and obtaining the coords to Stage 4, we made a plan to get there.
El Gypsy: unfortunately, we'd already cleaned out the stage 4 area last winter but the views were admittedly better without freezing fog and limited visibility. It was a lovely hike early on a Sunday morning, so lovely, I did it twice. I texted The Lady, who was still sleeping, so she could text me the stage 4 coords and was almost to the ridge when I checked my phone only to realize it was still in the truck. I recommend hiking it twice to anyone.
Although our quest for stage 5 was slowed considerably by holiday traffic, we enjoyed the ride to a place I hadn't been to in 11 years and the native born Lady Gypsy had never been. There was still some daylight left when we exited the truck but it wasn't raining hard which was good since we were short on rain gear. We found a nearby cache that hadn't been placed yet when I was there last and really enjoyed the sharp drops. We hurried back to the truck where I wished, for the first time in several months, that the truck heater worked.
We had a few hours this morning to nab the final which we did by dodging no trespassing signs. The cool final placement soothed our chagrin at not having time today to go get the bonus cache a few miles away. But we haven't cached that area before so we will come with caches loaded and ready to spend a day playing.
SL TNLN TFTC Favorite for the experience and the views. Our second 5/5.

Wahoo! & the okey- doke for the final is achieved!! Will have to wait for our trip next month... But what a great one this is!! See you
Woot! Made the final & bonus today !! I had a really great time on this whole adventure. You shoulda' seen me scouring S2 - I mean every single stone, shrub, & piece of trash. A good 45 min worth...all with the info from S1 IN MY HAND
When I finally had the giant, forehead - slapping moment; I'd seen enough in the area to get what I needed and be on my way in 5 minutes.
I enjoyed every bit of this one. Amazing how it spanned so much country and had so SPOT ON coord's everywhere. Our tech really agreed here. Thanks TD !!!
