CONGRATULATIONS TO n0wae FOR FTF!! Is this a surprise?!
In January 2005, n0wae established a cache (GCMN0K) at the high point of the Sleepy Lion Trail, a location that provides marvelous vistas of Ralph Price Reservoir, Coffintop Mountain, North and South Sheep Mountains, and more distant views of summits in Indian Peaks Wilderness Area, Wild Basin of RMNP, and of Mt. Meeker. Over the years I’ve hiked to the cache location three times, appreciating very much the trail and the wonderful geocaches found within the Button Rock Preserve. Today’s trip to the cache had the specific purpose of retrieving a special travel bug that I needed for a challenge cache. So my puppy Teewinot and I hiked the trail. On the way to n0wae’s cache I came on a nice meadow with a feature so distinctive relative to its surroundings that it begged for recognition. Hence, “On The Way To n0wae” was hatched.

Enjoy the hike, and make certain that you plot out the other geocaches in the vicinity, including those associated with a nearby“hidden trail”; then, range farther out all the way to Flea-bitten Lion. On The Way To n0wae requires less than a 4-mile RT hike; but if most of the other caches accessible by the Preserve’s trail system are included as your objectives, an entire, fun day of hiking, cache-finding, and admiring scenery and special locations can be scheduled! If you plan the extended activities, be certain to bring extra food and fluids, and have appropriate clothing in the event of weather changes.

Great location for a cache. Far enough off the trail to avoid mugglers and well hidden. Great hint as well. TFTC!

Visiting from Minneapolis and stopped in for a hike on the way to Boulder. Thanks for the hide! This one took a couple of minutes before we spotted it from the correct angle.

Tuned over many rocks, didn't see it after about 5 to 10 minutes searching. I can hardly imagine it getting muggled, as far as it is off the trail. I probably would have found it if I had the hint, but we had no cell reception, therefore only the coords and some very basic information about each cache, such as the difficulty/terrain rating, number of favorite points, and size. This didn't include the hint. Most of the rocks I turned over were small. I'm disappointed that I couldn't find it, since it would have gotten me to 200 finds, but this was to be the last cache of the day. It was a hot day for hiking, in the 90s, (with a breeze, which helped some) and some of the people in my group were getting tired. We ended up hiking 3 miles overall. Thanks anyway for the cache. It seems to be a great location for an amazing hide.
