A cache in Berrian Mtn. Park named after my sons Staffordshire mix pup, Bella
Park at the parking location for Berrian Mtn View, off of Armadillo Rd.

A nice walk through Berrian Mountain Park. The park is owned by Denver Mountain parks.

The trails are well established and marked with mostly red and blue spray paint on the trees, Staying on the red marked trail is the nicer hike (the blue marked trail is not as well maintained and gets thin in spots but it will get you there or back). When you reach the intersection of red and blue marked trails southwest of the cache follow a couple of blue markers going uphill. The blue markers stop as you head up, but the trail is fine with some cairns to get you to the cache. we have provided some waypoints as a heads up for locations of the intersections of trails. enjoy the hike and the view of Mt Evans from the top.

From the intersection S/W of the cache the red markers continue south for a bit, the trail leads out of the park. to a neighborhood in Aspen Park.

Cache number twentyone of The Sat. Project 100. In thanks of finding 100 caches we have decided to give back to our predecessors and give back the 100. We have more than enough room around here for caches.

WOOF! WOOF!

5/29/10 Back exploring again, I noticed orange colored markers a short ways past the first intersection. They are hard to see at the intersection, but get better as you go, they lead you thru a small area of blow down/low timber litter and up to the cache from the N/E side. this route is a little steeper but more direct.

Nice hike today before the storms. I was surprised to see a significant amount of water inside the container. The good news is that the plastic bag kept the log dry. The other plastic bags didn't fare so well ??. I dried it out as best as I could. TNLN & TFTC

Bushwhacked to this one from "Halloween." Was a tough slog. Didn't take long to find - the hint is clearly visible. I was going to go on towards "Curiously Strong," but my phone died after taking a panoramic photo at the top, and I was lucky to find my way back to Armadillo Trail without navigation. The orange/red trail begins to fade as it reaches the chipped part of the forest, and I saw no more color blazes in that area.

A nice morning in Berrian Mtn Park today. Only saw 5 other hikers on a Saturday in July!!! Thanks to Denver Mountain Parks for allowing theses caches and the owner for placing them! Great climb up to this marvelous view! Replaced all of the wet materials with a dry log. Cheers!

Trail notes:
3.9 miles, 1800 ft gain/descent
First 3 caches in about 0.5 miles, then used Bella waypoints. Red and Blue both lead to Orange which take you near Bella.
Bella's first WP notes:
About 0.5 miles from last of early caches, stay on trail it will get you there.
Go straight on blue blazes for Happy Halloween cache and then up the orange blazes to Bella.
Turn left on red blazes for uphill to orange blazes steep climb to Bella.
Bella's second WP notes:
Follow blue trail to intersection and follow a couple of blues uphill to orange to top.

The cache was full of water and the logbook has turned to mush. Tried to dry, but to little avail. Needs maintenance.
