Last day in Denver so we wanted to do a gadget cache and this was the winner. It tested our reflex coordination but we won out.

So, the history of us coming here has to do with our first trackable (Smokey the Bear) we found and relocated to mountains on the Blue Ridge Parkway, last year. Over a course of a year, this trackable managed to boomerang back to us. We knew we need to give him a new start, so I searched on where to place it. It was here, or up near a fire tower (I like themes). We wanted to make sure that another experienced geocacher would find it and move it with the same loving care we had done last year.
Trying to get into the container provided frustrating, as museum employees asked what we were doing and asking if we were breaking one of their displays. The woman behind the desk had only been there a week and had only limited knowledge of the cache. When I took time to explain what geocaching is and try to answer their questions, BabyGeoShark (she really is a whiz with gadget caches) stepped in and finished getting into the container.
Thanks for placing this one, and I really wish I could have had less distractions to focus on this one.

Whenever I visit an area I try to grab some of the high favorite points and I can see why this one has so many! Thanks for being a part of our adventures!

Found it! This was a fun puzzle. Glad to hit this one while in the area for a conference.

Awesome gadget cache. Definitely put some effort into the actual cache mechanism. This should be a favorite for any conference attendees that want to get out and stretch their legs. Interesting history here also.

First cache in CO. Here for a conference and figured I wouldn't have time for this mystery any other day. The final needs some tweaking as it's now paid entrance to see D. The staff kindly let me go in though to see it. Am interesting mechanism for the final. Took the TB since it had been there a while.

I am in town for the National Collegiate Volleyball Championships. Setup and meetings all day today. I cut my lunch break short to grab this cache.
I had done the leg work for this yesterday so all I needed to do was make one stop.
The engine has been relocated, but is still findable.

**What a fun, great construction at the final, SHE tried it and solved it at the second attempt. Of course we give a FP and TB in**First day in Colorado and after a long, long trip from Germany to Denver yesterday, this day was nearly as hard as yesterday. Start in the morning to look for some Bisons at Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge, then Denver Museum of Nature & Science, more sightseeing in Downtown, Firefighter Museum, Denver Mint and a lot more. And at the end a hockey game between Avalanche against Edmonton. And on the way we had a little bit time to search a few boxes and for the answers from some earthcaches and Virtuals. A long day but with lot of fun.
Of course thanks to all the owners of the caches for the caches and the work behind. And sorry that we have not the time for individual logs.
Greetings from Duesseldorf – Gerresheim / Germany

What an awesome gadget cache. So glad I was able to grab this one - TFTC!

What fun! I don’t have the video-game skillz, but I managed it anyhow!
Note, though, inside the wooden door, it’s cordoned off to the right. Luckily it’s still possible to answer the question without crossing the ropes.
I’m another of those insane folks working on an”puzzle-a-day” calendar challenge, so: many thanks for my POTD!

Found it with mymaestro. Today happens to be free museum day in Denver so no problem getting in
It took a couple trys, rereading the directions more carefully each time. We got it done. Thanks for the fun.

Very cool tour of the museum

This cache is really close to my work, so I took a lunch break to solve the puzzle and grab the cache. I announced to the receptionist, oh I'm just here for the cache - she said, "yup, it's right here....oops, was I supposed to tell you that?" Ha!
My bro taught me enough about cars and engines that I didn't need to look at the sign to see how many cylinders the Seagrave had, but I wondered if others might get a little stuck at that point. The cache container was one of the coolest, best themed caches I've seen, it deserves a fav point. I dropped off a fire extinguisher eraser and picked up a pathtag.
Thanks for birthing this creative cache, your caches are always so unique and fun! And a big thank you to our first responders who help keep us safe!!

Found with shell1fish. What a fun cache!

I always look at mystery caches when we travel, and this seemed like an interesting field puzzle. We were staying nearby, so mdawaffe and I visited WP1 last night to grab most of the necessary numbers, and with the statue lit at night, we didn't even need flashlights. The friendly staff member welcomed us when we swung by the final this afternoon, and mdawaffe and I soon were focused on spinning lights. I wanted a crowd behind us chanting, "Big money, big money, no whammies," but the fun reveal wasn't quite so dramatic. Code in hand, we happily added our names to the logbook. Thanks so much for such an ingenious gadget cache!

I was out and about caching with herndonrd helping him complete the DPL series. For me, it has been great to be his DPL sherpa and re-find all of the great caches in the series. Since we were in the area, I suggested that we stop and look for this one as well. I got to play fetch and get the data from the first stop before we made our way to the final waypoint. Initially herndonrd waited outside as he was not eager to donate any more to the museum then necessary to finish this. I went inside and as I finished collecting the remaining data a very friendly "cache guardian" let me know where to pay the entrance fee. When I asked if I had to pay to find the geocache, not only was I told no, I was shown exactly where the final container was hiding. At this point, herndonrd joined me and we followed the instructions and got this baby to cooperate. Hooray! After we did the whole sign and replace thing we celebrated our victory by heading back to the car and driving off to another one.
I enjoyed this puzzle in part because it gets me very close to finally completing the Uber Mystery Challenge (less than thirty to go). In addition, finding a puzzle today helps with another puzzle (canned language about my insanity to follow).
I chose today to look for this one because I signed an insane challenge in California that requires me to find a puzzle cache on every calendar day of the year (save February 29th) in order to meet the logging requirements. I am thrilled to be one day closer to completing the challenge, though I still have just over sixty days to go. Thanks for the fun puzzle, hide, and for getting me outside on such a beautiful day.
P. S. I truly enjoyed the creative design of this cache. Clearly you put a lot of time and effort into making this. This one definitely deserves a favorite point, which seemed to be true of all of your caches that we found today.
P. P. S. No animals (humans or otherwise) were harmed in the writing of this log.

Out caching with FeartheFish. He has been shepherding me through the DPL series and this was a side trip. Really unique container inside the firefighters museum. Give it a fav! TFTC!

Awesome cache! I almost didn’t do this one because I was short in time, but I’m glad I did. Very cool mechanism.
Took trackable, left trackable and pathtag.
Found on an “Extra” day in Denver. Traveling from Louisiana. Thanks for a great opportunity to walk about and learn the metro area.

Easy to find. The box took a few tries to open. Fun cache

What a great puzzle cache! Enjoyed each of the locations. Nerak2001 and I met downtown this morning with the specific goal of finding one of each cache sizes. This is the regular we chose. TFTC! All is well with this cache. This gets a favorite! Dropped TB.

Sometimes things just make you feel stupid.
First stupid move. Not realizing the initial cords were a good ways away from the final. I know it isn’t too far in Geocaching world but I was by myself and caching alone so it seemed like a really long way (especially as I walked by many people lingering). It also was a lot longer more because I walked from my hotel first.
Second stupid move (not my fault) is being too short. My favorite TOTT was not with me to help get the number off the fireman’s hat. I tried pictures (the sunlight didn’t cooperate) and then I resorted to a video
Third and the absolute biggest stupid move is I misread the calculations. I had the numbers right. I just knew it ... but by my kindergarten math recollection I could not fathom how the CO was able to add a 2 digit number to any other number and get a single digit number.
But with the help of the wonderful staff which was followed up with a huge head slap I was able to get the code. Now to figure out how to get that gadget to work. Somehow I got it and put ink to paper.
Thanks for the adventure
Good bye Denver. Back to Alaska.

Ahhh...the joys of geocaching....makes you think outside of the box every time! Love it. Thanks Crypto! You have gone to such lengths. Your efforts haven’t gone unnoticed!

This one should’ve been quicker but we could not find any information at the second location. And, the person at the desk was no help… One of the patrons tried to check it out as well but we all couldn’t figure it out. By process of elimination in the math required, we figured out what must be the final number. TFTH
