After a day in front of the computer, I wanted to get out and about. Headed down to Commerce City for the evening. I've had a couple jobs down this way and cleared out some areas, but I missed a few caches here and there. Time for some clean up. I saw some DNFs, so after a search I dropped a container where my phone almost zeroed out. (My phone wanted me on the other side of the fence, and that just didn't seem like a good idea.) Cache on - thanks for the smiley!

Friday night cache flight! After work I headed north to complete a Whereigo and grab as many caches as possible. I didn't grab as many as I hoped, but ended up with 19 for the day. I replaced a few caches that were missing or damaged. During my adventure I walked through prairie dog fields, saw a hawk, horse and cow, scared a mouse that then scared me, and pet a French bulldog/Boston Terrier mix. Unfortunate fuel provided by McDonalds. Music by Blue October. Pretty successful night.
This little bugger was tough to find at twilight. My cords said to go on the other side of the fence, which is private property. I obeyed my lawful instincts and kept searching legally. Sure enough, I found the cache. TFTC!

16:32 find #3202
Our journey to spring break was nearly complete, and we had thought this was the last rest stop before reaching our destination. After taking care of business at a nearby business we came here for a quick find. Looking at the aerial view of the map, we thought we were headed for an easy PnG, but seeing the state of the lot (a big muddy pit) we didn’t want to chance getting stuck, and weren’t so excited about the assured mud bath. We parked, but then re-evaluated the map and thought of another spot to park. That was a lot of driving and only reduced our short walk from 200ft down to 150ft.

Once at the spot, we got to zero and started inspecting. We didn’t find anything where we first looked and then wondered if we were on the correct side of the fence. Back to the satellite view, it didn’t seem as though we could be on the other side, so we went back to investigating the area. There were a few nearby birds that were taking exception to our presence and squeaking up a storm.

More searching and again coming up empty, we peeked at the hint. That seemed to reinforce that we were on the right track, so with reinforced ethos, we got back to the search and found this clever hide.

Getting into the logbook we were surprised to see that we were the first finders for 2019. What a great time of the year to make this find and align with the title, bring on spring! TFTC

TFTC. OCW muggles Barbara, Flo & Judy on our way to Tacoma, WA. Picking up caches and counties along the route. SL. Adams County.
Clever container. The prairie dogs were already asleep when we checked in nearby.

Very hot day for caching (temp showed 103 for hours !!) but that didn't stop us, although it sure slowed us down. Part of the slowdown was it was so hot that all our electronic devices kept overheating and then we would have to wait until they cooled off. We cached from 7A-7P with a fun event in Brighton in the middle.
