A small log only cache hidden in the Outback of Keystone.
This cache is meant commemorate the great caches I have found on this mountain while skiing this winter and to say farewell to another ski season, Should be accessible to intermediate and advanced level skiers in the winter and robust hikers and bikers in the summer. Hopefully the placement will stand the test of time. We hope you enjoy this fine mountain as much as we do. Stealth will certainly be required during the ski season. Please be gentle retrieving this cache.

If you make it to this area and cannot sign the log or even see the cache, log a find and email me where you saw or think the cache is located.

Five days ago we had no intention of skiing again this winter but after seeing that Colorado was getting fresh snow and figuring out cheap lodging, we decided to use our season passes for some last-minute fun. Sixteen short hours of driving later and we're skiing Beaver Creek for the first time in many years and then Keystone on its closing weekend.

After doing some runs in the Outback we headed back towards the front, stopped by this one along the way. Spent at least 20 minutes looking everywhere within 50' of GZ, came up empty-handed once again... bummer.

Looked n looked. At the tree in the previous cacher's photo and out 45 feet as others have said. Come this far and no Smile...Frown

We search around the tree and up to the sign DEEP snow around the tree.

Spent 15 minutes looking for this one but knowing the coords were off (but not in what direction) made things more difficult. Snow is very deep once off the packed trail and we didn't want to expend too much of our precious energy, needed to save it for skiing. Had hoped to look later in the day but didn't make it back to this area.

Wow. Found container and log 45'ish feet from GZ. Took a good bit of time to find it. Appreciate the cache to enjoy while snowboarding. Cheers!
