The cache is not located at the posted coordinates.

This is the first cache in the second series of my experimental caching experience. There will be four caches and one bonus cache. All four caches will have a D5/T5 rating and the containers will be the same type of log-only nano. Each cache will feature a notable woman and each cache will use the in-page solution checker as well as a certitude checker. The success message will contain additional information that you will need to use to solve the coordinates of the bonus cache and will always show the posted coordinates of each mystery cache, not the correct physical location of the cache. There will be different challenges for you to get a success message from the certitude checker. The bonus cache will be named "Sue's cache" in honor of Edwards654 because I will be using an ammo can she donated for a childrens' Halloween geocaching day in 2020. All of the hides will be in Jefferson County Open Space.

This cache is located on Mount Galbraith. The trail is a steep, narrow, and uneven path. In my opinion you will earn all 5 terrain points making your way to this cache. I'm surprised by how uncharitable CO's of caches on the trail have been with their terrain points. Perhaps you will feel that I've been overly generous with my terrain points! The D5 rating is a combination of having to solve the puzzle and finding a well-hidden (at least in my opinion) nano in a remote area. The final coordinates don't place you right on top of ground zero; I did my best to find coordinates that were the same on my GPS device as the ones on the app on my phone. Recognize that getting good coordinates in a remote area is not always possible, but you should have no problem picking out the intended target.

As this is the first cache in the series, I will ease you into things.

This cache features Ada Lovelace. Ada Lovelace was born in 1815. She was a mathematician. She is credited with writing the instructions for the first computer program. The programming language Ada is named after her.

N [Capricorn - Libra][Taurus + Gemini] [Leo - Aries][Sagittarius - Cancer].[Scorpio - Pisces][Capricorn - Gemini][Libra - Leo]

W [Sagittarius - Scorpio][Ursa Major][Virgo - Aries] [Libra - Virgo][Pisces + Aries].[Scorpio - Leo][Cancer - Taurus][Leo - Taurus]

The keyword for the certitude checker is what the intended target is. You may be able to armchair this one, and that's okay. I'm still deciding whether I want to force people to physically visit the cache to get the correct answer for certitude.

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.

Congratulations to FTF: grizzlycacher!

I wanted a good workout today and this fit the bill. In addition, snow is threatened in the forecast so the decision was made. This ended up being a "vegantriathlete day", as I also trekked out to get the other in the series ("Pick up lines - Do you come here often?") and found a couple, more urban, vegantriathlete caches. So after 10+ miles of hiking and 2000+ feet of elevation gain I'm pretty tired, but I expect vegantriathlete wouldn't even have warmed up after that! I enjoyed returning to this mountain. I had only been up here once before, but I've no idea why now because the views are amazing. Thanks for another great cache! Cheers.

Headed out and about today, to see if I could get some "science of discovery" points - yup, earned enough to claim the first souvenir - this was the sixth of ten geocaches that I found during my travels. TN-LN-SL. Thanks !

FTF @ 6:25 PM! My first 5x5 FTF

I had a string of FTF up here almost 9 years ago to the day and I always enjoy getting up here. Waited until evening for this because of other plans with the family today. They wanted to go do Youkfish’s Hudson Garden Adventure Lab first. I’m glad I waited since I pretty much had the trail to myself and was able to hunt in peace for the cache. It was good, since it took quite a while to spot the little PITA (my nickname for these containers). Looking forward to more in this series except I haven’t figured out the Certitude trick on the last couple as of yet.
