Since I saw that benj59 found this in October, I put this on my list to revisit.

I found it on my second visit, though it was on the ground. The log was wet but still signable and I put the container back where (I thought) it was supposed to be.

I was over here for my daughter's dance class. It's also my geopup's second birthday today so I treated him by taking him for a walk along the High Line Canal trail and letting him stop to smell everything as often as he wanted! In particular he was quite taken with this tree pictured earlier on along the walk. I can only think he smelled a squirrel because he spent several minutes in the position pictured.

This ended up being the third of three I found along the trail.

I saw the last log as a DNF and was fully expecting to not find it. But I wanted to at least give it a shot. I tried from above, I tried from below and couldn't spot it. I examined the area again and knowing the D/T decided on one more approach. It was a little tricky to get close but that did the trick! I spotted the cache and made the grab.

Although the muggle traffic was heavy, no one walked by while I was searching.

The container, baggie and log are all in good shape here. Just had to put in the extra effort to reach it.

There was a shredded piece of plastic where the cache should have been. May need to replace it :(

Our second of three finds in the area this afternoon. My son enjoyed retrieving it. He wanted to leave a little action figure for the next geo-kid to find but it wouldn't quite fit. SL, TFTC!
