Out on the first day of Summer with a friend... grabbing a few caches after lunch and ice cream at the Garden of the Gods Trading Post. A beautiful sunny day, scattered clouds, slight breeze and a few smiley faces to go with it all! :) TFTC SL

#1212 I had to wait for muggles to leave the area but I ended up finding it pretty quickly. This is part of my cross country road trip that started on July 23rd.

Holey Moley is right! This was my first (and only cache) at Garden of the Gods.

We were in town for a wedding in Colorado Springs and decided to make it our EPIC 2018 family road trip. We had stops in Nebraska, Colorado, and then South Dakota before returning home to Minnesota.

I had this one on my list from Day One, but wasn't too sure we were going to make it. The location we were actually staying at was about 45 minutes from here, but we figured it might make a good stop for us on our way out of town before heading north of Denver for a few days.

Wow! Just Wow! This place is incredible! Super crowded but incredible. We avoided the hoards of people at the Balanced Rock by hiking to the rocks just a bit further. Enjoyed exploring and climbing and checking out most of what this park has to offer.

We saw lizards, and hummingbirds, a raptor, and even a Bighorn sheep before we called it a day. So much to see in the small amount of time we had here today, but I think we made the most of what the park had to offer.

Thanks so much for placing this one here. We ended up parking just 50 feet away and since i am not so good at Earth Caches, this one was perfect! It gave me time to not worry about finding answers and just taking photos and being with my family!

Thanks for the adventure!

We worked our way from Indiana to Colorado Springs via Columbia, MO and then WaKeeney, KS. Doing a little caching and sight seeing along the way. We’re staying at the Garden of the Gods Campground and today we drove through the Garden of the Gods with the Geowinnies and a few family muggle members.

We found this cache on our journey today. Thanks tenderfootbluegrass for the cache and the smiley.
