Dogs  Takes less than an hour  Available during winter  Stealth required  Short hike (less than 1km)

This is a regular traditional cache hidden along a South Platte River trail (east side of the river for those of you who always wind up on the wrong side of a creek). There  is plenty of room in the container for dog swag and travelers. The park is open from sunrise to sunset.

The trail is one that I frequently walk with my geodog "Mandy" (TB# TBH8KT). It is a popular area to walk dogs so there are always new furry friends to meet. The area is also home to a variety of wildlife (over 300 species), so bring your camera and binoculars. Make sure you take time to "paws" and enjoy the beauty of South Platte Park.

If you have time you might want to stop in at the Carson Nature Center to see some interesting nature displays. Also, if you enjoy bird watching they have a list of birds that are seen in the park. You can access the website for the center at    http://www.sspr.org/nature

I’ve always wanted to do these caches along the trail. Today was the day! After dropping my son off at school, I headed over here before making Panera Bread my office for the day.

This was the third of four finds for me. Such a cool trail back and here. Never would’ve come over here except for the caches. This was a surprisingly large hide and is in great shape!

Thanks for the hide DogCatFxr. I appreciate you keeping this cache active for everyone to enjoy.
