Located off Highway 93 in the open space.
There is a small cement parking spot east of the cache site and then about a .2 mile hike over flat terrain to to the cache. The container is a large 2 pound mixed nutz plastic jar with the mandatory camo. Hey, I gotta use this stuff ;-) But the hide will be real simple as there is not a lot of places it can be.

Took advantage of a cool overcast day to finally go after this one while on my way into work. After seeing the previous photo I figured I would bring my walking stick to help keep those stickers off of my uniform. I still had to dust off my boots before heading in, just in case there is an inspection before going on dutyWink. Thankfully I didn't see any slithering creatures other then a mouse. Whew!!!! Wow now I know why you shouldn't go for this one in the summer. Just the threat of rattlesnakes is enough but the cheat grass seeds are fierce & all the other vegetation is sharp. Check out the photo of the seeds on my shoes! But I got there!
Note: I used a stick to swing in the grass ahead of me for a snake tester.
Ouch!

Thanks, mondou2! This was a nice warm up before a longer walk. I waited until after I have been in Colorado a month before starting to find caches in the foothills to acclimate to the altitude. Today's main event was to do greasepot's Welch Ditch series south of Clear Creek. This is a fantastic trail that I would like to take my grandsons on sometime in the future. I wasn't aware, however, that the caches on the way back along Clear Creek would be in areas infested with poison ivy and poison oak. My hands and arms are just now shedding the dead skin from my poison oak encounter from two weeks ago. It doesn't keep me from going after the caches; I just need to clean with wipes as soon as I get to the car, and shower and wash my clothes as soon as I get home, knowing I might be scratching for the next week. I also had time for a few more caches on the way home.

I hoping to get this cache for sometime now and finally made it. The weather was just about right for the short hike to the cache. Not too hot. I was able to find it quickly and get the log signed.

Lots of little blue birds in the field today as we walked to the cache. Fun cache too. Took nothing and left an ant. Thanks.
