After a failed attempt with L in D, I came back with Sara crow armed with a new TOTT so that we could get up close and personal with the Araneus gemmoides. The third search spot yielded the desired result!
I got pinched in the neck by one of the gemmoides which was much larger then expected when I reached up to brush away whatever it was. Apparently they have little or no venom as of yet nothing has happened at the bite site. If this is the last cache I log, then it can be surmised that I was wrong about the bite!
Thank you for the crazy search

On another caching adventure with Bhob.
Found this at lucky 13:13 on the clock haha. Second visit here. Many more spiders. They are cat-faced spiders and one of my favorites, so we did our best not to walk through too many of their awesome orbs.
Used a different technique to make this find, no spoilers from me. Thanks for the evil hide. Maybe. Haha.
Thanks the5millers! Logged Mission Impossible #5 from a ninth galaxy using c:geo!

Went for a drive around the southern metro area today with "animjason" - this was the thirteenth of fourteen geocaches that I found along the way. TN-LN-SL. Thanks !

Today we assembled a team for this Mission Impossible. Our well trained caching assassin team consisted of WindatMyBack, HerndonRD, FeartheFish, and I. Windatmynack has a special talent of smelling caches from over a mile away. Because of his poor eyesight, Fearthefish’s other senses have become extraordinary. Herndonrd can see about 6 miles out from his height. I brought the ability to sleep anywhere.
First we ambushed #3. Between stages we saw a hawk in the air. It was carrying a large snake. Sad to me, but a joy to some. Long car rides are best spent hurling playful insults at each other. This was a fun ride. We grabbed a few others near the final. We circled around and through several times before Bob yelled out that his bloodhounding had yielded the prize around 11:15 am. 4 signatures later and we were on our way back to the car and headed home. While still in the middle of nowhere, Fearthefish was generous enough to offer his spicy meatstick to all. It was lovely. You really can't beat Duke’s Hot & Spicy Smoked Shorty Sausages.
Next was #4. Fueled on by Chili Cheese Fritos, Dr Pepper, and Spicy V8, we were full of enthusiasm. Fearthefish was apparently full of something else that left us rolling down the windows and gasping for fresh air. Not gas, just putrid puns. I slept most of the way.
Number 4 took us to a beautiful area. Some searching in the GPS unfriendly area led to the Well camoed container around 1:45. Just a little skin lost on the abrasive stuff.
Now off to #5. I had previously searched with Rohatx for this one for an hour and a half, but couldn't get the smiley. Luckily for us today, I eliminated a lot of potential hiding spots. I'm sure my last log mentioned spiders, but it's worth mentioning them again. We're talking real arachnophobia here. Taking advantage of our TOTT (HerndonRD) we searched a few more places and came up with the container. I would give a hint about the size of the container compared to the size of the spiders - but that wouldn't help much. Some of them look like they could take a small dog, or carry away Windatmyback. Found it around 2:30 pm. After working our way back out of the spider scene from Lord of the Rings, we headed to #1.
True to its rating, #1 was our quickest find of the day. Bob ran to this one. Maybe his geo-name should have been Flash for how quick he moves. We found it sometime around 3:20 or so. We stamped and scribbled our names on this one. By now time seemed to have slipped into another dimension. Maybe we were a little delirious after our long journey. Now off to the nearby #2.
We scuttled our war torn bodies over to our last Mission of the day. We swarmed the cache and plucked the container from its placement. It is certainly worthy of its rating, if not more. Bob was in the right place, with the right height advantage and hawk like eyes.
This Mission Impossible series and the challenge of completing it in one day has been rewarding and deserves more favorite points than I can possibly give. I enjoyed the fun of the hunt and the comradery developed by the common goal of hunting our prey. Thank you The5Millers for getting this motley crew together to join forces in an all out assault on your 5 missions.
Mission Accomplished.
We finished the day with a group meal at Texas Roadhouse. Mmmmm. THANKS FOR THE CACHES!!

@Rohatx and I teamed up to search for this evil guy. I'll keep this short. 90 minutes of searching and we left with our tail between out legs and our heads full of arachnids. Until next time...

This cache is part of a series of hides that I placed each one increasing in Difficulty and Terrain. The only challenging part of this is trying to complete the whole series in 1 day. Which has only been done by 2 people so far.

Color me confused. This is listed as a Traditional cache. Is it actually a Challenge/Puzzle cache? Is there an actual 5/5 hidden cache at this location?
Appreciate some clarification.
Thanks!

Mission Impossible you say? Yeah, I think I'll pass. The way things have been going for me lately, just ONE of the5millers caches can be Mission Impossible for me. So, to those who can accomplish all in one day, your caching skills are far superior to mine! Kudos to PayMeCache who actually was part of that DNF group but came back to be successful and complete the journey.
As I said, I was part of a good sized FTF failure party and this cache has been calling my name ever since. It's less than a mile from my office and that blue frowny face on Cachly has been taunting me ever since. Crazy that it was over two months ago.
I had some time today to get a few caches and after finding the Coffee Fund I decided to head up the road to search for this one. I don't want to give anything away. But I will say a few things about it.
First - don't attempt this if you are afraid of spiders. Cobwebs everywhere. Second - don't attempt this if you're afraid of water. Definite potential to get wet. Third - don't attempt this if you are afraid of falling. Typical under the bridge rocks. Fourth - don't attempt this if you don't want to get dirty. You will get dirty. Fifth - don't attempt this if you have poor balance. Did I mention the rocks? Outside of that, you should be fine! :)
Anyway, where was I? Oh yes, yada yada yada I found the cache.
Oh a few more things that may be helpful. It's easier to qvbrtui than it is to qrpsxzccv this cache. (don't try to decode that - it's not a cipher). You'll know what I mean after you find it. And I had to do something I've NEVER done before to make a find. I've thought about it, but it's never been necessary. Oh, and this would've been great for the yada yada yada but I don't need to worry about that anymore. The CO knows what I mean. ;)
In conclusion, I absolutely have to give this a favorite point for being what it is.
Thanks for the hide the5millers. I appreciate you keeping this cache active for everyone to enjoy.
