While riding around segment 2 of the Colorado Trail, I decided to hide a new cache. I came to this spot and thought it was good.
This cache is kindof on the way to or from some other caches. There is a really big rock at this location but the cache is not on or under it. However, you do have to traverse it. You will find this to be easy. Getting to the location will just take a while. I rated the terrain a 3 just for the distance.

 Hints

Head downhill on the big rock and keep going a ways farther. It's hidden in a likely spot.

Enjoyed a sunny day hiking along the trail to detoxify from a Thanksgiving feast. Snow in spots and LOTS of wind - but a great day to introduce a newcomer to geocaching. I think she is hooked! Cache is in fine shape. Thanks for the hide!

I have been looking forward to some of the caches out this far on the trail. When we thru-hiked here years ago we had no patience for looking for caches along the CT but this would have been a nice resting spot. After finding this cache we hopped over the ridge to Raleigh Peak Rd thinking we might take a closer look at the potential climb. Thanks for the hide!

Teamed up with "animjason" and another good friend, for a nice hike on segment two of the Colorado trail - this was the last of eleven geocaches that we found along the way. TN-LN-SL. Thanks !

Left the house at 6:00 this morning, to meet Garlic at the Colorado Trail and road crossing at 126. I then hiked back towards Waterton Canyon. Quite hot out today, and lots of through hikers and through bikers out there! It was quite hot out there, I ran out of water about a mile from my car. Then when I got to the car it poured down rain, and the temperature plummeted. Glad I turned around when I did - it was perfect timing. Thanks! Love the scenery on this segment. Now it's time for a bath and a nap! I thought it was going to be only about 10 miles today, but it ended up being more than 15. I've had my eye on this one for a while, and finally got to sign the log today. It's quite a drive, but it's all pavement, and worth it!
