Flew in on Monday from Virginia Beach for a the week (working week). My goal is to be able to visit Pikes Peak. We got out early so I headed back to the hotel and threw on some street clothes, grabbed my cold weather clothes and threw them in the back of the rental. Then I headed to the road leading up to Pikes Peak. I stopped at a couple of caches on the way up and then arrived at the gates and they were closed! Still on winter hours so it closes at 1500. I got there at 1530. Bummer.

Anyways this was one of the caches I stopped at on my way up/down from the entrance gate to Pikes Peak. I hope I get a chance to try again.

Made the find after a short search. Cache is in fine shape.

Day 7 of our geocaching trip in Colorado. Today was the highlight of our trip. Sweet-marie and I started off visiting several earthcaches in Manitou before heading up to Pikes Peak at 14,110 ft where it was sunny but very windy and a temp of 29 F. In the afternoon we enjoyed walking the trails in the beautiful Garden of the Gods where it had warmed up to in the 70s. All in all a spectacular day that we will not soon forget. Thank you for publishing so many caches here. We inked the log with our CCC (Canadian Caching Chicks) stamp or with our initials. Greetings from British Columbia, Canada.
