This cache is part of a series dedicated to the important documents that have established our country and allowed the United States of America to be a great nation.  The “Bill of Rights” is part of the United States Constitution. The Constitution is considered a “living” document, meaning that the rules can be altered or eliminated, and new ones can be added.  The constitution outlines how to make those changes. The Bill of Rights mostly describes the rights afforded to us as citizens.

The Fifth Amendment of the Bill of Rights gives us the the right to not incriminate ourselves in a criminal trial.  This robust amendment provides us many rights when we are accused of a crime.

Article V (Amendment 5 - Rights of Persons)

No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

On March 13, 1963, Ernesto Miranda was arrested, by the Phoenix Police Department, based on circumstantial evidence linking him to the kidnapping and rape of an eighteen-year-old woman ten days earlier. After two hours of interrogation by police officers, Miranda signed a confession to the rape charge.  He was convicted and sentenced to 20 years in prison. His attorneys appealed the case to the Supreme Court because Miranda had not been advised of his rights. This became known as the “Miranda Advisement.” The appeal was successful and he was granted a second trial in 1967. He was again convicted. After serving only 5 years of his 20-30 year sentence, was was released in 1972.  In 1976 was was stabbed to death in a bar fight. Ironically, his attacker invoked his Miranda right to remain silent and was never convicted of murdering Ernesto Miranda.

If this cache is about Emergency Medicine, then go to N 39° 43.707 W 104° 59.450

The stakes are getting higher as each amendment cache is placed.  The puzzle is easy. This hide might not be. Please return the cache exactly as you found it.

Congratulations to Rotatx for the FTF! 17/108

My 19 mile bike ride brought me to this cache at 10:23 am when I made the find. Thanks for the cache and for making my route more fun!

After replacing the cache, a muggle walked by and asked me if I was looking for something. I told him I had found what I was looking for - a geocache. He said oh.

Find information, and a fun hide and fine. I probably looked quite the comical site trying to get that thing with my physical limitations, but a few makeshift TOTTS and I had it in hand.

Out on a cache run this morning since I don't have to be in to work until late. This one took a natural special tool for me, lol. Not the first time. Short cachers have to get creative. Tftc!

Nice hide. Probably didn't approach the cache the easiest way but it was quick. Thanks for the series. Cheers.

Solved the roundabout puzzles several weeks ago, but got rained out before finding the last two. Was able to smilify both today, which just so happens to be Int’l Geocaching Day. Happy IGD, and TFTC!

Found with EasternGirls. As a 5'4" lady, I could not get the cache. However, I crafted my own step stool from nearby materials and was able to sign the log for both of us shorties.

We are not tall people. We are 5'4". The other half of Easterngirls was not with us to grab this one. She should have been. However Irid3sc3nt is pretty crafting. Using a rock as a stool, she grabbed it. Tftp.

I was going to my wife's company picnic today and wanted to get a few caches. I remembered I had this one solved and stopped for look. I found a short walk-in to the cache. I was able to find this cache after walking to the spot. A nice puzzle to do and a nice hide to find.

Would have sworn we had already found this one, but guess not. After many hours of searching the internet, asking friends, pleading for hints, we solved the puzzle !! Off to the cache where we sadly found it lying on the ground. Signed log and returned it to appropriate place.
