#2 in a series of fact-filled caches filled with facts
To the east of this spot (now a school) is the historical Schontootle homestead.

The Schontootle family arrived in the region in the late 1830's, driving a team of oxen and driven, themselves, by madness.

Conrad Schontootle founded the first brewery in the region, experimenting briefly with a beer derived from wood chips now believed to be the first known source of lysergic acid diethylamide.

In the crazed visions that followed, Conrad claimed to be the King of Spain and the inventor of sheep. Restrained and sedated for the rest of his days, Conrad Schontootle directed the affairs of Spain and held impassioned arguments with the deceased Napoleon Bonaparte. He died at the age of 92.

No less than 27 of his descendents have since held the title of Mayor of Loveland, CO.

The best-known recipe for beer: drink one, bottle one

You're looking for a medium-sized camo'd container containing:
* log
* pen
* 2 geocaching glow sticks
* 3 skinny glow sticks
* 2 small jars of play-doh

CAUTIONS: Don't do this when it's raining or the creek is full. Keep little ones away from the edge. Beware barbed wire and the steep hill. Please restore the camo when done.

Mooseyaround and I came to GZ, searched, spotted the cache container, and decided it was far too dangerous to attempt a retrieval. Have tried to find and sign the log for this one previously (2015). Perhaps it's time to let this one go.

It was a chilly, damp day and the location of this cache was dangerous because of the mud. Was able to see it, but wasn’t going to attempt to get to it to sign the log. Maybe I’ll try again on a dry summer day.

Getting to this cache is pretty difficult and could get someone pretty wet. I have been to caches with a higher terrain difficulty level that were easier than this one. The lid was not completely closed and the log bag does not close very well. The log is damp. Wasn't feeling well today and wanted at least one cache so did not replace the log and bag. Signed the log and was able to close the lid on the cache although I can see how some would find it difficult to close. May come back to replace the log. Great story by the way that accompanies this cache. Thanks Triggur for the hide.

Happy Easter find. He Is Risen. Top of container won’t stay snapped so log is getting wet. Nice hide. TFTC

Something happened to the geocach and it is no longer there. I think no someone or something broke down the hollow stump it was in

This one scraped me up on the way down the hill. It is such a steep hill that you need to keep a good footing on the way up the hill. I slipped and fell once but worth it. Tftc.
