A standard piano has 88 keys. When a key is pressed, a hammer strikes a coil of wire, which vibrates and produces a unique sound wave. The frequency of a sound wave is measured in Hertz (Hz), or cycles per second. Since each coil vibrates at a different frequency, our ears are able to distinguish one note from the next. Standard tuning puts the A above middle C at 440 Hz. Below are the frequencies for an easily recognizable melody:

Nice cache to get on a Friday night when one could be listening to piano music and chilling as winter comes back on the first day of summer today. No kidding!

I too had to use a TOTT to "open says me" after saying the magic answer. Signed log with ease and re-hid as seen. Tftc and puzzle! I think you deserve a fav pt.

Out on a maintenance run for some of my caches. Cleaned out the hinges, so this one should operate a little more smoothly. Every time I come to do maintenance here, I wonder why I put it where I did... eyeroll!

I solved the puzzle this morning and stopped on the way north. I had a bit of trouble opening the container - the combo was clearly correct since the latch went all the way down, but something was keeping it from opening. I gave the door a slight nudge with a thin blade and that was enough to get it open. SL, TFTC!

Since I'm seriously musically challenged, Google was my friend for this one. Stopped by on my way through town for the find, had a little problem opening it, but that was me, not the cache. Thanks for the puzzle and hide!

So I tried to unlock the container at GZ but after a few unsuccessful attempts I gave up (I was cold) and resolved to confirm my answers with the CO. But shortly after leaving the area, I realized I hadn’t reset the container. So I returned to GZ and figured I’d give it one more go. Maybe it’s because I approached it from a different direction the second time or maybe I just had magic fingers, but whatever the case, I was able to get it opened. I signed the log, took the TB and reset everything. TFTC
