Heading home to Phoenix, after roadtripping to Fort Worth for GeoWoodstock, then St. Louis to visit the family. Today we're driving from Hays, KS to suburban Denver to visit more family, but we're taking a geocacher's itinerary to grab a couple more Colorado counties (including Cheyenne) and not have to spend the entire day on I-70.
Quick find, nice container. Thanks for the cache.

Here on an amazing 10 day geocaching road trip with sweet-marie, kteeeee and laphamclan. We flew into Kansas City and after renting a car we drove through Kansas, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Missouri and back to Kansas. All logs were either signed CCC (Crazy Canadian Cachers) or stamped with our red CCC stamp. Answers to Virtuals and Earthcaches have been sent in on behalf of the group.

TFTCSL I worked hard for this one. The cache was nowhere in sight. I expanded my search and found it. Someone had opened it and thrown it into the back of the fireplace or down the chimney. I had to get a retrieving tool and crawl underneath the grate. I got it and found the log pushed all the way into the bottom. I added a new log in a new baggie to keep it waterproof and placed it on the high end of the big sign. Good to go.

Memfis Mafia and I headed off on another extreme adventure. Known and logging as the Colorado Extreme Geocache Team (CEGT) we picked a new road trip destination. Due to colder weather in Colorado in January we decided to head south. The Oklahoma Land Run Trail, The Oklahoma Star and other miscellaneous caches became the targets.
We headed out Thursday on the 4 day adventure that racked up some extreme statistics. The list of highlights show only a small glimpse of the extreme time we had.
2100 – Miles Covered
800 – Caches
100+ - Replaced Caches
93 – Hours of Travel
70+ – Hours of Caching
60 - Degree change over a day cold of 12 high of 72.
40 – Counties Cached
8 – Cache Types including 1 FTF and a couple 5x5’s
4 – States Cached
2 – Tired, dirty, laughing and smiling caching guys
and
1 – EXTREMELY DIRTY Rental Car
We had an extremely, great time traveling from cache to cache, enjoying the warmer weather and viewing the countryside. We cached the trails from dawn till dusk and then changed tactics to more light friendly areas finding the special caches in the area.
This trip was focused on extreme smiles, both in the car and on the map, and thus we replaced the logs when wet or worn out and replaced missing containers. We did our best to help cache owner maintenance and others to enjoy this hobby.
We had an extremely great time and are already planning our next EXTREME adventure.

My caching buddy Barasaur and I decided it was once again time that we needed an extreme geocaching adventure. In the past, this has taken place in a few different states and has included kayaks and alligators. This time we wanted to go after a serious amount of smileys and cover some territory.

We stamped all of the logs using the Colorado Extreme Geocaching Team logo. Since this trip was focused on smileys, we replaced the logs when wet or worn out and replaced missing containers. We did our best to provide cache maintenance in an effort to help others enjoy this hobby. When we ran out of the supplies we brought, we stopped and made a trip to the store to restock. Some of the locations were more remote and we understand the value of helping out a CO.
This added to our list of extreme geocaching trips. We learned a lot, laughed a lot, and had a great time.
The answers to the virtual and the EarthCaches are coming from Barasaur. The favorite points and photos are coming from both of us. Thanks to all of the cache owners for placing and maintaining the caches for us to find.

We are on our way to Nelson, NE for Christmas lunch with my sister & family. From there, we are headed to Mesa, AZ for the Winter. Stay warm. We will.
This is one of the caches that I found. SL as lnknehusker or BRE. TFTC.
I found this one on the ground without any lid. I adapted it and placed about head high.
